World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 2 takes place this evening at the Revel in Atlantic City, N.J. and is headlined by a heavyweight match-up between former UFC heavyweight champ Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski and UFC veteran Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.

The WSOF 2 broadcast will begin with a LIVE stream starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on www.wsof.com and on www.sherdog.com., then moving to the televised main card starting at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Network.

We will provide LIVE results and play-by-play commentary for the entire WSOF 2 card here at ProMMAnow.com.

WSOF 2 play-by-play:

Frank Buenafuente vs. Bill Algeo

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Leg kick from Frank but Algeo drops him with a big punch. He recovers, they scramble, knee from Algeo. Frank gets Algeo on his back looking for a guillotine, but he escapes and they scramble again as Frank drops levels and picks Algeo up for a big slam. Bill tries to hold him down but Algeo gets to his feet, knee to thigh from Frank. Algeo uses a standing kimura to turn him around and delivers a big knee but Frank stays on the clinch and gets Algeo to the mat, inside guard. Algeo  locks on an omoplata. Frank escapes and delivers a couple shots before Algeo puts him on his back and takes top control in half guard. Frank looking for a kimura from bottom. Frank lets it go and eats a couple punches. Close round but gotta give it to Algeo 10-9.

Round 2 -Frank shoots, sprawl from Algeo but Frank drives on through and puts him on his back. Algeo uses a kimura to sweep and takes side mount from top. Body shots from Algeo. Frank locks on a reverse triangle but Algeo easily pulls his head out and scrambles, now looking for a kimura from bottom. Frank inside guard. Algeo defending well from bottom so Frank is unable to deliver any damage. Algeo controlling him, gets to his feet but Frank jumps on his back, slips off and Algeo has top control in side mount. Knees to the ribs from Algeo. Moves to full mount. Frank gives up his back. Body triangle from Algeo, looking for the choke and he gets it as Frank Buenafuente taps out. Algeo becomes first person to stop Buenafuente and breaks his win streak.

Brenson Hansen vs. Tom Marcellino

Round 1 – Leg kick from Marcellino. Again. Big leg kicks from Hansen, another. He takes a groin shot from Marcellino. Leg kick Hansen. Jumping knee from Hansen. Left hook from Hansen. Leg kick Marcellino. Right hand from Hansen, high kick, leg kick. Marcellino shoots, stuffed. Leg kick. Big leg kick from Hansen. Takedown from Marcellino but Hansen gets right up. Hansen catches a kick and drops Marcellino with a big right. Marcellino gets up. Brief clinch, then a big punch exchange before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 for Brenson Hansen.

Round 2 – Leg kick Hansen. Again. Again. Right couter from Hansen as Marcellino throws a leg kick. Big right from Hansen. Marcellino shoots, gets a body lock from the back. Hansen escapes, gives a big body kick. Lands a left hand as Marcellino steps in. Body shot. Leg kick from Marcellino. Counter left hook from Hansen and Marcellino flops to his back. Hansen attacks from top. Marcellino gets up. Lands a right and Hansen’s nose is bleeding. Another right from Marcellino. Hansen gives a couple nice right hands in return. Straight right from marcellino. Big leg kick from Hansen. He then catches Marcellino with a big right hook that drops him Hansen goes for the finish but somehow makes his way back up. With just a few seconds left Hansen gives a big flying knee that lands perfect and Marcellino drops face down to the canvas and that’s all she wrote.

Ozzy Dugulubgov vs. Chris Wade

Round 1 – Ozzy trains out of the Renzo Gracie Academy in New York. Leg kick Wade. Big body kick from Ozzy, then a high kick that’s blocked mostly. Nice body kick from Wade, then a leg kick. Ozzy fires back with a left cross, right hook. Clinch, pushes Wade to the cage. They separate and move to the center. Wade slips on a kick, gets back up. Left from Ozzy, clinch against cage and Ozzy gets the trip takedown. On top inside guard, moves to half guard, looking for the side mount. Wade gets to his feet but eats a knee and a couple punches. Big step in knee from Wade. Ozzy counters with a left. Leg kick Wade. Nice side kick from Wade knocks Ozzy back against the cage. PMN sees it 10-9 for Dugulubgov.

Round 2 -Body kick from Wade. Ozzy lands a big right. Wade keeps coming forward, lands a front kick. Wade gets a takedown as Ozzy turtles up. Wade riding him but Ozzy hits the switch and puts Wade on his back and takes top control in half guard, moves to side mount. Wade gets to his knees as Ozzy softens him up with hammerfists. Wade gets to his feet but Ozzy uses an inside trip to put him right back down. Ozzy on top in half guard. Wade gets him in full guard and is defending well. Couple nice elbows from Ozzy. Wade tries to hold on but Ozzy postures up with punches and more elbows before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 Ozzy Dugulubgov.

Round 3 – Wade slips on a kick, gets back up. Right hand from Ozzy. Catches Wade on a spinning kick and puts him on his back. Ozzy in side control, lands some knees to the body. Wade gets him in full guard. Ozzy drops elbows, gets to side control, goes for mount but Wade explodes out, gets to his knees. Ozzy rides his back. Wade looks for a kimura, but ends up on his back with Ozzy back in side control dropping elbows. Wade gets to his knees, fishes for a leg but Ozzy stands up, Wade meets him on the feet and they begin to trade. Ozzy gets a takedown but Wade catches him in a guillotine inside full guard. Ozzy pops his head out with 45 seconds to go. Ozzy moves to side control and lands a few shots. Wade recovers guard before bell. PMN has it 10-9 and 30-27 for Ozzy Dugulubgov.

Igor Gracie vs. Richard Patishnock

Round 1 – (Live stream went out) It was all Igor in round one. He took Patshnock’s back and went for the choke while standing. They fell backward and as they landed it dislocated his shoulder. The round ended but the doctor would not allow him to continue for round 2. Patshnock is awarded the victory.

Waylon Lowe vs. Cameron Dollar

Round 1 – Lowe is from Jefferson City, Tenn. Big left right from Lowe. He circles the outside. Right hand from Lowe. Right from Dollar, then a left. Nice left right from Lowe. Body kick from Dollar. Couple of lefts from Lowe. Two more nice ones snaps Dollar’s head back. He continues to circle, throws a couple a left and a right that miss, then leaps in with one more left right on the chin and Dollar goes out flat on his back. Big power reminiscent of a Johnny Hendricks left hand.

Alexandre Pimentel vs. Rick Glenn

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Leg kick Pimentel. Glenn with two in return. Both guys long and rangy. Glenn using a nice jab, then an uppercut. He catches a kick and dumps Pimentel. Lets him up. Pimentel shoots and puts Glenn on his back. Pimentel on top in half guard, drops a hammerfist, stands up and dives in with a punch. Glenn gives up his back, gets to his feet, suplex from Pimentel. Glenn gets to his knees then feet. Body lock from Pimentel from behind, he tries to drag Glenn down but ends up on bottom, locks up a triangle, switches to an omoplata and locks it up tight. Pimentel with some hammerfists. Glenn trying to escape but is stuck at the moment. Pimentel grabs Glenn’s neck in a rear naked choke, while he’s locked in an omoplata. My god, I’ve never seen this. Somehow Glenn survives and escapes, gets to his knees. Pimentel jumps on his back with hooks in, looking for the choke. PMN has it 10-9 Pimentel. Wish I had a photo of that omoplata/RNC combo.

Round 2 – Touch gloves. Glenn flashing a jab. Pimentel shoots, stuffed. Clinched against the cage. Big knee from Pimentel snaps Glenn’s head back. They square up. Glenn working the boxing. Leg kick from Pimentel, counter left from Glenn. Glenn landing a few Diaz-like boxing. Nice right to body, left straight from Glenn. Pimentel drops Glenn with a big punch. Pimentel jumps on his back, body triangle locked on and he’s softening him up with punches. Glenn spins around to top position. Pimentel looking for an arm. Glenn postures up with punches. Pimentel grabs a toe-hold attempt. Glenn escapes to his feet. Pimentel presses him to the cage. Glenn backs out. Big left from Pimentel. Left and a right from Glenn. Pimentel shoots, stuffed. Big body kick and a couple left hands from Glenn. Two big lefts from Pimentel. They trade punches and Glenn clinches up. PMN sees it 10-9 Pimentel.

Round 3 – Glenn lands a one two. Pimentel returns same. Leg kick Pimentel. Left hand from Pimentel. Leg kick. Shoots, stuffed. Presses Glenn to the cage, drops levels for a single, lets it go, grabs a body lock. Glenn backs out throws a head kick that’s blocked but it stuns him, then Glenn tags Pimentel with a right hook that drops him, Glenn follows up with a left hand on the chin and Pimentel goes out cold. Great rally by Rick Glenn.

Kris McCray vs. Danillo Villefort

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Leg kick McCray. Clinch from McCray. Presses Villefort to the cage, gives a couple punches and knees to Villefort. Body lock takedown from Villefort but he bounces right up. McCray stays on him with a body lock and knees, trips him back down and takes top control. He stands up and lays inside Villefort’s guard. Body shots from McCray. Elbows from Villefort off his back to the top of the head. McCray works the ground and pound. Villefort looks for an armbar, gets back to his feet. Nice knee from Villefort. Uppercut as McCray ducks in. McCray slowing down. Villefort lands a one two and a knee and puts McCray on his back. McCray scrambles to his feet. Uppercut from Villefort but McCray lands a big one that staggers Villefort. But Villefort fires back with a head kick that drops McCray at about the 11 second mark. Villefort tries to finish but time is up. Great action. PMN sees it 10-9 for Villefort.

Round 2 – McCray presses Villefort to the cage, looking for the trip, lands a few punches to soften Villefort up. Body shots from McCray as they wrestle in the clinch. McCray gets a body lock takedown. Big body shots. Villefort gets full guard from bottom. Heels to the kidneys from Villefort, elbows to the shoulder and head. Ground and pound from McCray. Villefort shrimping looking to gets some space and make something happen. Looks for an armbar, can’t get it. McCray stays busy with body shots. Villefort tries to escape but McCray ends up taking his back with a body triangle locked on and looking for the choke. Villefort stands up with McCray on his back, he escapes and throws McCray down, takes full mount. McCray gives up his back, now back to full mount for Villefort, goes for an armbar at the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 for McCray.

Round 3 – Left hook from Villefort, knee from McCray, clinch, he pushes Villefort to the cage. Thai clinch, knee from Villefort, uses a foot sweep to put McCray on his back. Villefort inside full guard. Villefort drops a couple elbows from the top. McCray with butterfly guard tries to sweep. Villefort postures up with mroe elbows. He stands up and McCray also stands. McCray shoots, goes for a slam but can’t get it. Villefort lands a head kick, then a big knee right to the chin as McCray shoots in. You can hear it land very loud! Villefort grabs a Thai clinch and lands more knees to the face. I can’t believe McCray is still standing and throwing punches. He lands a nice jab, shoots, stuffed. Knee from Villefort to the face. The ref calls time for some odd reason and separates them. Big left from Villefor, again. McCray fires back, they slug it out as the crowd goes wild. They tie up against the cage. Man, McCray is one tough S.O.B. And the stream goes out once again. Sh–. Mo—. Sonofa—. Go—. F—. Bull—-.  Well, I missed the ending….  This was an amazing fight though. Definite fight of the night so far. If you can find this video, watch it.

Gesias Cavalcante vs. Justin Gaethje

Round 1 – Leg kick from Gaethje, right counter from JZ. JZ shoots, stuffed. Body kick from Gaethje. JZ lands a high knee that stuns Gaethje, but he comes back and lands a big uppercut. Clinch es up, knees from Gaethje, JZ pushes him to the ground but he gets right up. Big leg kick from JZ. Overhand right by Gaethje backs JZ up, he lands another big right, clinches up.  Big uppercuts and elbows from Gaethje. JZ bleeding badly from his head. Ref stops it to check the cut. Man, this guy is not intimidated by the big name of JZ not one iota. They stop the fight. It’s right above the eye. It’s really not that big but the N.J. commission I guess feels it’s too dangerous above the eye. JZ is pissed. Well, Gaethje catches a nice break and improves to 8-0. This guy is super tough and may have won anyway but sure would have been nice to see it play out.

Josh Burkman vs. Aaron Simpson

Round 1 – Right from Burkman. Winner gets Fitch. body lock from Simpson, body shots, knee to the face from Burkman, again. He turns Simpson to the cage and gives him some knees to the thighs. Burkman backs out and they square up. Body kick from Simpson. Burkman misses a wheel kick. Simpson ties him up against the cage. Right hook from Burkman. Simpson’s mouth is busted up and bleeding. Leg kick Simpson. Oblique kick. Burkman times a perfect right on the chin as Simpson shoots. It drops him to a knee, he tries to shoot, stuffed. Burkman lands a big right, backs Simpson up, lands a big knee to the face and Simpson goes down and it’s over as the ref steps in. Burkman moves on to fight Jon Fitch in June.

Paulo Filho vs. David Branch

Round 1 – Right hands from Branch keeping Filho at bay, he shoots and puts Filho on his back. On top in half guard. Body shots from Branch from the top. Filho holding on. Bit of a stalemate. Big body shots from Branch. More of the same and Filho seems content on the bottom. Filho gets full guard. 1:30 left in the round. Branch postures up, stacks Filho with punches. PMN sees it 10-9 for Branch.

Round 2 – Filho slips to the ground on a high kick, gets up and eats a right, a left. Branch backs him to the cage with big punches, scoops his legs out for the takedown. Filho gets to his knees then feet, clinched, ref separates them. Filho swings but Branch puts him down, gets him in a crucifix and rains down right hands wo Filho’s face, he’s in trouble here. Filho bucks up and tries to escape but Branch pins him back down and keeps with the punches. Branch moves to side control, regains the crucifix for a minute then goes back to side control and continues with the ground and pound. PMN has it 10-9 for Branch.

Round 3 – Leg kick from Filho. Left hand from Branch drops Filho as he throws a side kick. Branch follows up with top control and punches. Big body shots from Branch. Filho doing absolutely NOTHING. He’s laying on his side in half guard while Branch pounds him. Filho  tries to hold his wrists and arms and keep from getting completely destroyed but is offering no offense at all. He finally recovers full guard and throws a couple elbows off his back. Branch lands a couple elbows and punches and finally the ref stands them up. Jab from Branch, body shot. Clinch, knee to thigh, he presses Filho to the cage. Throws a high kick that’s blocked, lands a head kick, uppercut, elbow. Branch with the takedown, takes full mount at the bell.

Marlon Moraes vs. Tyson Nam

Round 1 – Jab from Moraes, leg kick. Oblique kick from Nam. Body kick Moraes, right hand. Checks Nam’s low kick. Right from Moraes. Leg kick from Moraes, shoots, pushes Nam to the ground and he gets right up. Leg kick from Nam. Again. A head kick from Moraes and he catches him up side the head with his shin and Nam goes down face first. Moraes follows up with punches and Nam is out.

Andrei Arlovski vs. Anthony Johnson

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Oblique kick from Arlovski. head kick from Anthony blocked, leg kick and right from Johnson, then a leg kick. Oblique kick Arlovski, big right from Johnson, leg kick from Johnson. Right hand from Arlovski. Leg kick Johnson. Head kick from Johnson blocked. Front kick Arlovski. Leg kick Johnson. Left hook Johnson. Big right from Johnson. Arlovski fires back with short uppercuts while holding the back of the head. Right hook. Nice hard jab from Johnson. Right left right from Arlovski. Big right. Arlovski’s chin holding up very well. Johnsons shoots, stuffed. Pressing Arlovski to the cage. 1:30 to go. Knees to thigh from Johnson. I can’t believe this guy used to fight at welterweight. He’s huge. Leg kick Arlovski. Righ hand. Johnson shoots, stuffed, presses Arlovski to the cage. He turns Johnson around with the clinch. Knees to thighs. Arlovski leaning on him, ref separates them. Leg kick from Arlovski, Johnson hurts him with a big right then drops him with another big right. The bell saved Arlovski as the round ends. Johnson thinks he won it looks like and throws his hands up, but it’s going to round 2. PMN has it 10-9 Johnson. He was all but done.

Round 2 – Touch gloves. Front kick Arlovski. Right hand. Johnson with a head kick, left hook. Thai clinch and a big knee to the chin from Arlovski. Johnson shoots. Man, both guys have taken big shots in this fight. Johnson presses him to the cage. If this fight goes deep, look for Johnson to tire at this heavy weight. Left jab Arlovski, again, right hook. Big right from Johnson, counter right from Arlovski. Leg kick Johnson. Right from Arlovski as he slips an uppercut. Uppercut from Arlovski, right from Johnson. Johnson shoots, sprawl from Arlovski. He presses him to the cage, Arlovski turns him around. Low knee from Arlovski sends Johnson to the canvas. Ref gives him 5 minutes to recover. Replay shows it right on the nuggets. Johnson is okay. Leg kick, big right, left from Johnson, he shoots for the single as Arlovski’s back is to the cage. He scoops his legs out. Arlovski gets to his knees, then feet. Johnson drops levels. Hammerfists to his back from Arlovski, double hammerfists. Sprawl, time. Tough fight. PMN scores it 10-9 Johnson.

Round 3 -Left hand from Johnson. Andrei counters with a one two. Leg kick Johnson. Right from Arlovski. Left from Johnson. Big left hook, head kick from Johnson. Big right hook. He shoots on Arlovski against the cage, going for the single. Elbows from Arlovski. Ref separates them. Arlovski dropping his hands now. Left straight from Johnson. He shoots as Arlovski tries a lazy spinning back kick. Presses him to the cage. It seems Arlovski may be getting more tired than Johnson surprisingly. Arlovski turns Johnson to the cage. Knee from Johnson. Elbow from Arlovski on the break. Two big left hands from Johnson, he shoots. Arlovski breathing hard, back to the cage. Pushes Johnson to the other wall. Under a minute to go. They square up. Left jab from Johnson. Arlovski’s mouth wide open. Johnson shoots, stuffed. Big right hook from Johnson, shoots, stuffed again. Holding the single as Arlovski gives him some shots to the body. PMN sees it 10-9 and 30-27 for Johnson. — I think we can agree Arlovski’s chin is fine. He took some major shots and held up fine. He would beat a lot of heavyweights out there and maybe even a few in the UFC, but I’m not sure he will ever get that chance after this. Oh, and did I mention he was wearing UFC gloves in the cage? Yep. Johnson says his training partner Tyrone Spong just KO’d Remy Bonjasy at Glory 5 (you can read our live play by play of that here — our boy Jay Cee was ringside).
