mark huntMark Hunt will officially replace the injured Alistair Overeem at UFC 160 this May, when he faces off against former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos. Talk of Hunt stepping in to take the fight began to swirl on Twitter earlier in the week; however, UFC President Dana White initially dismissed the rumor, claiming that Hunt had been offered the fight but turned it down.

Well, as is the case with most rumors and discourse fueled solely by 140 character Tweets, it appears that things have changed, and Hunt will in fact step into the Octagon against dos Santos on May 25th. The Samoan heavy hitter enters the match up riding a four fight win streak that has quickly skyrocketed him into the upper echelon of the heavyweight division. Meanwhile, JDS will look to rebound from what may be the worst loss of his career, surrendering the championship belt to Cain Velasquez after a five round drubbing at UFC 155.
