soa paleleiExcitement struck Twitter as Australian heavyweight Soa “The Hulk” Palelei began a tweeting spree announcing that he has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC.

This will be Palelei’s second run in the company. After a brief stint in 2007 and a disappointing loss Soa has been on quite a streak. He has not lost a fight since 2010 and has finished 7 of his last 8 opponents with a first round TKO. He defeated UFC veteran Sean McCorkle in his last outing at AFC 4 this past December.

Soa had this to say about being back in the UFC:

 “I’m thankful to Dana White and Joe Silva for giving me this opportunity to come back to the UFC to showcase my skills. With determination, hard work and a great team, I’m happy to say that today I have signed with the UFC. I look forward to competing in the best organization in the world.”

No official word on when his first fight will be but you can believe that Soa and his fans, affectionately known as Hulk Gladiators, will be be celebrating. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed and the contract is said to be for four fights.
