Victory! We won our XFC fight last Friday! Usually after winning a fight I’m ecstatic and at least for a moment in time, it seems that everything is right in the world. I can’t say that I feel that way this time though. I pride myself on putting on a show for the crowd and winning in exciting fashion. Neither happened this time. To say this fight was boring would be a massive understatement. It’s a shame that there’s already a sport called “fencing” because I can’t think of a more suitable name for my opponents game plan. It takes two to make a lousy fight, I have a lot to improve on and I’m more motivated than ever to do so. I’ve fought three times in the last five months and for the first time in a long time I think I’m ready to relax. Sometimes the pressure of a fight takes the fun out of training. I tried to put on a show out there, check out some highlights below:

Besides that, I honestly think the constant strict dieting was depressing me in a way. Even though my career, let alone one fight doesn’t define me, I have a way of making myself feel that that’s all that matters. I don’t know if all fighters do this but I definitely do. It’s crazy because now that it’s over I feel a heightened sense of clarity. Obviously these are thoughts that have been there but I guess they’ve been a knot of thoughts or emotions that I’m unraveling now and believe it or not it feels therapeutic. Alright before I get too Dr. Phil on myself let me wrap this thing up. I’m on a mission to become as good as I can as fast as I can. I will use every ounce of will and skill I possess every time I fight. I have a long way to go but I WILL become one of the best MMA fighters in the world. Jump on my war wagon early and don’t wait until I get to the big show! Shout out to my family at Triangle Jiu Jitsu, United Thai Boxing and Cageside MMA!
