Gray Maynard, UFC 160, TJ Grant
UFC lightweight Gray Maynard

The UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Silva II card keeps adding more quality fights. UFC officials have announced that a big lightweight fight between TJ Grant and Gray Maynard has been verbally agreed to take place at UFC 160.

UFC 160 will be headlined by the UFC heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. The co-main event will feature another heavyweight bout between former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem. The event is set to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Maynard (11-1-1, 1NC) comes into this bout off a long layoff and split decision win against Clay Guida. Maynard has not competed since the June 2012 fight with Guida and has been on the sidelines with a knee injury suffered in training for a UFC 155 bout against Joe Lauzon.

Grant (20-5) is coming off a first round TKO win over Matt Wiman at the UFC on FOX 6 event in January 2013. Grant has rattled off four consecutive wins since dropping to the lightweight division after competing as a welterweight.
