It is fight week for our Florida based friends at Xtreme Fighting Championships and the regional powerhouse returns to Charlotte North Carolina for XFC 22 “Crossing the Line“. Looking to follow up on a sold out XFC 19 last fall, John Prisco has assembled a strong fight card featuring the area’s top talent.
Tonight on the show we kick things off with XFC 125 pound female Pearl Gonzalez. Pearl makes her XFC debut looking for her first professional win against Suzie Montero Friday night. Pearl may have lost her pro debut but she brings in a solid amateur career to her tenure with the XFC.
One of the best personalities out there and undefeated featherweight Nate Landwehr returns to the program. Nate is looking to make it three wins in a row inside the XFC cage as he faces D’Juan Owens. Fighting of Clarksville Tennessee Landwehr is looking to blaze his own path and in doing so has become a polarizing figure. You love “The Train” or you love to cheer against him but either way he is always primed to put on a show.
Angela Magana will be featured in the co-main event of XFC 23 “Louisville Slugfest” that takes place in April. Angela is very matter of fact and has made some waves when talking about fellow XFC female fighter Heather Jo Clark. She will begin to prepare for Stephanie Eggink soon and we will check in with Angela tonight.
Undefeated and looking to set a date with Nick Newell for the lightweight title, Scott Holtzman has one big hurdle to overcome before that epic match up happens he has a huge challenge in Jason Hicks. Hicks and Holtzman comprise the main event of XFC 22 and the winner gets a shot at Nick Newell. We touch base with Scott as he wraps up training camp and heads to Charlotte.
