London, England (February 12, 2013) – AN ALREADY stacked card just got even better following the addition of another three bouts to the card for Cage Warriors 52 in London on Saturday, March 9.

On the back of the unfortunate cancellation of On Top 7, which was scheduled to take place in Glasgow on February 23, Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan has stepped in to ensure that several of the fights will still go ahead a fortnight later.

Fights involving Scottish-based CWFC veterans Graham Turner (pictured), Paul McVeigh and Dan Hope have all been added to the Cage Warriors 52 bill, while London lightweight Brad Wheeler will also feature.

On Top Promotions, Scotland’s premier mixed martial arts event, has been forced to pull the plug on Saturday’s week’s event due to venue issues.

“I feel sorry for Tam Collins and the team at On Top in this situation because they work extremely hard, but sometimes things happen that are out of your control. It’s not easy putting on a show because there are so many variables,” said Graham Boylan.

“I hate to see fighters put time in and lose out and I’ll always help in any way I can, regardless of who or where it is. As a result I’ll start Cage Warriors 52 earlier than planned, including the Facebook prelims.

“By doing this I’d like to see the MMA community come and support the event in London on March 9. This is now the most stacked London card we’ve done so far. It’ll be a fantastic night for the MMA community.”

Turner (21-7), a top-three UK featherweight, will face highly-rated Frenchman Fouad Mesdari (10-2), while McVeigh (18-8-) will continue his planned cut to flyweight with a 128lbs catchweight clash against Barcelona-based Romanian Paul Marin (5-1).

On the prelims, following his impressive win over Avi Jack at Cage Warriors 50, Dan Hope (9-5) will take on French veteran Gary Kono (10-10) at welterweight

Brad Wheeler’s meeting with Graham Armstrong, which was also originally set for On Top 7, will not go ahead at Cage Warriors 52 due to Armstrong’s unavailability, but a new opponent is currently being sought for Wheeler.
