UFC President Dana White has announced that heavyweights Gabriel Gonzaga and Travis Browne will lock horns on the TUF 17 Finale event that will take place in April 13. The event will take place in Las Vegas from “The Joint” at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Gonzaga (14-6) will look to continue his career renaissance and build on his current three fight winning streak. The former number one contender was released from the UFC after back-to-back losses on 2010. However, has won two consecutive fights in the UFC after winning a bout outside of the promotion. Gonzaga took out Ben Rothwell via submission at the UFC on FX 7 event in Brazil last month.

Browne (13-1-1) suffered his first career loss at the hands of Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in October 2012. Browne apparently hurt his leg early in the bout before Silva put the stamp on his with a big right hand that sent the huge heavyweight down for the count. He’ll look to rebound from the disappointing defeat and get his career back on track against a savvy veteran like Gonzaga.
