ufc primetime-rousey vs carmoucheIt’s probably the best UFC Primetime episode to date. The first episode of “UFC Primetime: Rousey vs. Carmouche” introduces viewers to the two female pro mixed martial arts athletes involved in what will be the first-ever UFC women’s bout — a 135-pound championship bout — between bantamweight title-holder “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (6-0) and Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche (8-2).

The episode will take you to the very core of who these two very different women are. With Rousey, you will gain more of an understanding into what drives the 26-year-old Olympic judo medalist and hear her reluctantly open up about her father and his suicide — a topic I have never heard her discuss until now. It is incredibly powerful and intimate and will almost certainly move even the hardest of hearts.

You will also learn more about the inspiring story Liz Carmouche, a 28-year-old former Marine, who has become the UFC’s first openly gay fighter. Though completely different, Carmouche’s story is just as moving and reveals a young lady who is fighting against all odds and plans to upset the UFC’s high hopes for their golden girl.
