mike hulk easton-bannerUFC officials have confirmed two new matchups on the upcoming UFC on FUEL TV 9 event that’s set to take place in Sweden in April. A bantamweight bout between Brad Pickett and Mike Easton has been agreed upon, and a featherweight bout between Marcus Brimage and Conor McGregor will take place.

The UFC on FUEL TV 9 event will be headlined by the light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Strikeforce import Gegard Mousasi. UFC on FUEL TV 9 will take place April 6 at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The main card bouts will air on FUEL TV with the preliminary bouts airing on Facebook.

Pickett (22-7) was last in action at UFC 155 losing a unanimous decision against Eddie Wineland in an action packed fight. Pickett had won back-to-back fights going into the bout and three consecutive bouts with a UFC bonus(KO of the Night, Fight of the Night(2x).

Easton (13-2) was last in action at the UFC on FOX 5 event losing a unanimous decision against Raphael Assuncao. It was only his second career loss as he was riding a three fight winning streak going into the bout.

Brimage (6-1) is coming off a big unanimous decision win over Jimy Hettes at UFC 152 in his last outing. Brimage has now won three consecutive UFC fights since being a participant on season 14 of “The Ultimate Fighter”.

McGregor (12-2) will be making his UFC debut against Brimage. McGregor has won eight consecutive fights while fighting primarily in the Cage Warriors promotion overseas.
