Ultimate Fighting Championship action returns to big FOX tonight with a flyweight (125-pound) title fight between reigning champ Demetrious Johnson and No. 1 challenger, TUF 14 winner John Dodson. Rampage Jackson enters the Octagon for what he says will be his final time as he takes on a very dangerous and capable Glover Teixeira in light heavyweight action. And lightweight contenders Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis clash in a bad-blood match with title implications.

Round 2 – Jab Mitchell, clinch from Thorensen, dirty boxing from Mitchell. He hurts Thorensen, takes him to the ground and his back as he gets one hook in looking for the choke. Mitchell takes top control as Thorensen gets guard. Thorensen throws up his legs looking for something as Mitchell works the ground and pound. Thorensen ties him up, trips Mitchell to the ground by grabbing his leg. Thorensen gains top control, David Mitchell locks up an gogoplata, its very close actually but Thorensen escapes. Mitchell kicks him off, lands a kick to the body but Thorensen gets back on top. Mitchell goes for a triangle, sweeps and gains top position. Mitchell stands up and stomps the body. Mitchell dives in with a punch. PMN sees it 10-9 Mitchell. Thorensen slow to get up.

Round 3 – Thorensen’s eye is almost swollen shut. The doctor checks him out and says he’s close to stopping it if it gets any worse. They exchange punches before clinching. Dirty boxing and body shots from Mitchell, he presses Thorensen to the cage. Thorensen backs out. They square up, Herb Dean takes a moment to cut some tape off Thorensen’s glove. Big right from Thorensen. Mitchell fires back. Head kick Thorensen. Leaping in left hook from Mitchell. Leg kick Thorensen, left hook staggers Mitchell. Mitchell clinches up looking for a single. Thorensen drops down for a kimura attempt. Mitchell is safe, stands up, kicks the thigh of Thorensen. Lets him up. Uppercut Mitchell, again. Thorensen tags him, a left. Knee from Mitchell. They let it go. Leg kick Natal. Again. Nice straight right from Spencer lands solid. Oooh, another one lands solid. Natal switches stances a couple times so far. Inside leg kick Spencer. Natal with same. Uppercut from Spencer. Lands a right. Leg kick Natal. Switches stances again, inside leg kick. Nice spinning backfist, followed up with a leg kick, all in one motion. Leg kick Spencer then drops Natal with a left hook but he bounces right up. Nice four punch combo from Natal. Body kick Natal. Big right hand from Natal. He shoots for a single, stuffed, Spencer shoots, presses Natal to the cage, he backs out. Side kick to the body from Natal. Nice right from Spencer. Small cut over Spencer’s eye. Spinning backfist from Natal scores. He lands another punch and Spencer goes down. Natal attacks with full mount. Spencer defends, starts to give up his back. Natal goes for a choke at the bell. Round 2 – Left jab Spencer. Leg kick Natal. Side kick from Natal lands to the body. Jab. Right hand from Spencer scores. Leg kick Natal. Front kick. Switching stances again. Right counter from Spencer. Leg kick Natal. Nice side kick knocks Spencer back, he then takes Spencer down, back to fence. Half guard but Spencer gets to his feet. Knee from Natal, drops levels. Spencer defends. Knee from Natal, fighting in the clinch for position. Double underhooks from Natal, muscles him to the center, gets a trip takedown. Spencer hangs on with full guard. Body shots from Natal, left punch to the face, hammerfists. Spencer gets to his knee but Natal presses him back down, takes his back, both hooks in and landing punches, flattens him out, 10 seconds left as he goes for the choke. He survives again. PMN sees it 10-9 Natal

Round 3 – Spencer aggressive with the punches but Natal ducks under and easily puts him on his back. Natal in side mount, crucifix and dropping elbows. Spencer in big trouble here, he can’t do anything at this point and is eating several elbows. Spencer bucks and squirms and he’s bloody. Natal gets full mount, goes for an Americana, cranks it hard but Spencer doesn’t tap. He switches to an arm triangle and that causes Spencer to tap. Natal walks over to the camera and says a few things, but all I heard was, “I have a beautiful girlfriend…”

Round 1 – Two big boys. Clinch from Russow, Jordan backs out. Russow ties him up against the cage. Right hand from Russow, He staggers Jordan with more punches against the cage. Jordan breaks free, retreats but Russow is all over him. Jordan bleeding from his face, Russow drops down for a single. Jordan trying to break free. Knee to the gut from Jordan. Russow very flabby around the waist. Jordan gets free, Russow pushes him back. Big right from Russow, lands a couple more big shots. Jordan is just not letting his hands go, even when he had the chance. Russow clinches him up, looking for the takedown. Jordan keeping one hand on the ground to avoid knees to the head. He stands upright now but Russow hangs on. Jordan breaks out to the center. Russow takes a deep breath. Big right from Russow. Another one. Jordan is doing NOTHING. Russow goes for the single, gets Jordan down but he pops right up. Jordan with three points down. He stands up, fires off some punches but nothing lands much. Russow clinches up. Elbow and punch from Jordan, another elbow. The round ends and a busted up Jordan walks back to his corner. Russow walks back with his mouth open wide. PMN has it 10-9 Russow.

Round 2 – Keep in mind Russow works a regular job as a police officer in Chicago. One has to imagine he would be in better shape if he didn’t. Right hand and uppercut from Jordan, looking more aggressive coming out this round. Jordan lands a right but takes a poke in the eye. Brief time out. Russow says he’s okay. Here we go. One two from Russow. Jordan fires back, lands an uppercut. Right from Russow, body kick from Jordan, he backs him up and gets a takedown of his own, full mount from Jordan. Jordan landing punches. Russow gives up his back. Jordan landing punches. Russow grabs his ankle and uses it to sweep and get back to his feet. Jordan takes a knee to the head after picking his hand up off the ground. Jordan stands up and easily puts Russow back down, now on top in half guard dropping elbows. Full mount now, hammerfists and big punches to the side of the head.  He pours on the heat, Russow just covers up and Herb Dean is forced to stop it. Russow’s face and nose is a bloody mess apparently from those elbows Jordan just dropped on him.

Ryan Bader (@RyanBader) vs. Vladimir Matyushenko (@VladTheJanitor)

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Left jab from Vlad, Bader gives one back. Bader drops him with a big left hook. Jumps on him with a front headlock as Vlad tries to get up. Bader drops down with a head and arm/guillotine choke, switches to half guard and Vladimir Matyushenko, the 42-year-old veteran taps out. The fastest light heavyweight submission in UFC history folks!!  Because they were still dry, not much sweat if any, this early in the bout, it made it even easier for Bader to lock it up. Amazing! How much longer can Matyshenko keep fighting at this level? He’s 4-2 in the UFC since 2009. This was also Matyushenko’s first-ever submission loss in his 15 year pro career.

Round 1 – Leg kick Stumpf. Right hand. One two Krauss. Body jab Stumpf. Leg kick Krauss. Two more leg kicks and Stumpf puts Krauss on his back. Stumpf on top inside guard. Stumpf is part of Team Curran MMA there in Chicago. Krauss gets back to his feet. Body kick Stumpf. Nice Superman uppercut from Krauss. Never seen that one. Left hook from Krauss. Clinch, knee from Krauss. Leg kick Stumpf, again. Big leg kick in return from Krauss. Jab from Krauss, again. Beautiful one two, leg kick from Krauss, lands a front kick. Pours it on with more punches and kicks and Stumpf goes down briefly. He pops right up for an instinctive shot for a single leg. Krauss holds a front headlock, Stumpf gets his head free and the bell sounds. PMN sees it 10-9 Krauss.

Round 2 – Leg kick Krauss, uppercut. Front kick to the face scores. Leg kick, jab, jab, nice right. He’s teeing off now with technical wizardry. That Superman uppercut is pretty awesome. Lands another one! Jab, jab, elbow. Stumpf is getting frustrated. Big leg kick from Krauss, then gets a takedown. Stumpf hits the switch and gets Krauss down. Krauss should have just kept picking him apart instead of going for the takedown. Krauss trying to use the cage to get up. Stumpf in half guard, but Krauss is up, knee from Stumpf. Krauss turns him to the cage, dirty boxing. A few nice elbows from Krauss. Stumpf’s face is bloody. Krauss with a couple uppercuts. Stumpf with his own uppercut, let kick, punches. Krauss pushes him away with a front headlock, knees. Clinched up against the cage, dirty boxing, knees from Krauss. Lands one to the face, elbow. Another knee. Big leg kick from Stumpf. PMN has it 10-9 Krauss.

Round 3 – Keep an eye on the 25 year old Krauss, who trains out of the Duke Roufus camp. Very talented. He’s 10-1 and 1-1 in the UFC. Big uppercut and a right from Krauss. he backs Stumpf up to the cage with big combos and a leg kick. Leg kick, front kick from Stumpf, Jab, Superman uppercut, right hand, big combo from Krauss. His striking output is very high, over 250 strikes thrown so far in this fight from Krauss. Clinch, knee to the face from Krauss. He backs out. One two, three from Krauss. Stumpf fires back with a couple. Big body kick from Krauss, leg kick, another. Four punches and a leg kick from Krauss. Stumpf shoots, Krauss sprawls. 2:00 to go. Clinch, Stumpf pulls guard. Krauss with body body head shots, elbows. Stumpf getting instruction from Jeff Curran, his coach. He throws up his legs with 10 seconds left. That’s it. PMN sees it 10-9 and 30-27 for Pascal Krauss.

Round 1 – Clay Guida has more energy than you. This is his featherweight debut. Jab, body shot from Hioki. Overhand right from Guida. Front kick Hioki, jab. Left hand from Guida. Body shot. Leg kick Guida, eats a counter punch. Nice uppercut from Hioki catches Guida coming in. His reach is causing problems. Clinch, knee from Hoki. Body shot Guida. Guida’s mustache looking LARGE. Guida hopping and bouncing around but nothing landing. Hioki staying calm, lands a jab, head kick. Guida tags him with a right. Right hook, Guida with a takedown. Inside full guard. Crowd chants “Guida”. Hioki gets his back to the cage trying to get up. Guida holding one leg trying to prevent it. Hioki trying to get his back, Guida defends but Hioki is up holding a front headlock. Knee from Hioki. Jab from Hioki. Couple of exchanges before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 Hioki.

Round 2 – Leg kick Guida. Body shot, jab from Hioki. Big leg kick from Guida buckles the leg. Guida picks Hioki up over his head, carries him across the cage for an uber slam. Hioki grabs the leg of Guida, then goes for a kimura as Guida is on top inside full guard. Guida gets free of it. Hioki goes for an armbar, Guida slams free. Guida inside closed guard, lands a right. Hioki with wrist control. Guida tries to pass guard. 2:00 to go. Guida trying to stay busy but Hioki controlling and not allowing him to pass guard. Crowd chanting “Guida”. Ref wants action. Hioki is preventing him from doing anything much and the ref has seen enough, stands them up. Front kick Hioki. Jab, perfect head kick from Hioki stuns Guida. PMN sees it 10-9 Guida (but I could also see it for Hioki).

Round 3 – Leg kick Guida. Front kick to the leg from Guida. Body shot Hioki. Front kick. Perfectly timed takedown from Guida. Hioki goes for a triangle. Guida slams him but is still in danger. Now he’s out of immediate danger and gets to half guard. Guida lands a couple small punches but Hioki recovers full guard. Hioki gets his back to the cage, trying to get up. Guida giving him no space. Ref tells him he needs to work. Hioki gets to one knee. Knee to the body from Guida causes Hioki to sit down. Ref says he needs to see something. “Yes sir” says Guida. :40 seconds to go and the ref stands them up. Head kick from Hioki. Front kick. Jab. High kick. Guida shoots, stuffed. Guida throws up his hands and runs around the cage. PMN sees it 10-9 and 29-28 for Guida.

Round 1 – Elbow Wiman. Leg kick. Front kick, leg kick, Superman punch. Leg kick. Left hook. Clinch, knee from Grant. Wiman’s hair looks weird. He brushes it aside. Right from Grant. High kick Wiman blocked. Body shot from Grant, one two Wiman, body shot, leg kick. Left hook. right hook. Leg kick inside. Body jab Grant. Leg kick Grant. Leg kick Wiman. Clinch, knee. Inside leg kick Wiman. Clinch, knees from both. Clinch, knee, elbow, re-clinch, two knees from Grant. An elbow and Wiman is wobbled. Grant sees he’s hurt. Grant goes after him, eventually gets him to the ground, Wiman is bleeding. Nose busted up. Ref lets Wiman up. Clinch from Grant, knee, elbow, knee, big big elbow, one more and Wiman goes down where Grant finishes him off with punches. Wow! Vicious! Grant moves to 4-0 as a lightweight inside the Octagon.

Round 1 – Head kick parts the hairs of Koch. Koch with a head kick too, blocked. Nice kick feints from Lamas. High kick Koch, blocked. Again. Leg kick Lamas, Koch returns same, Lamas shoots for a single. Koch sprawls against the cage. Lamas lifts the single, turns the pike but Koch bounces right up. Lamas drops levels for a double, then single. 2:00 to go. Lamas lets the leg go, pressing Koch to the cage, lands a right elbow. Underhooks from Lamas, lands a couple knees, tries to muscle Koch to the ground but no dice. Spinning elbow from Lamas connects. Leg kick Lamas. Misses a head kick, lands a side kick. One two Koch. Left hook, straight right from Lamas, presses Koch to cage with a single leg, gets a brief takedown, but bounces right up. Clinch, knees, bell. PMN has it 10-9 Lamas.

Round 2 – Left hand from Koch. Leg kick Lamas. Again, inside, outside. Jab Koch, leg kick. Clinch, knee Koch. He backs out. Left hook Lamas. Jab Koch. Lamas slips, Koch tries to rush in but gets taken down, Lamas stacks him, lays down inside full guard, stacks him with a right hand, lays down inside guard, lands some punches, and elbow, big elbows now and Koch is hurt badly, he’s bleeding, now more vicious elbows from Lamas, and he just violently stopped this fight. Koch’s face instantly opened up like a geyser. That was brutal. Lamas improves to 4-0 at 145 lbs.

Anthony Pettis @SowtimePettis) vs. Donald Cerrone (@CowboyCerrone)

Round 1 – This is what I’ve been waiting for. Right hand from Pettis. Leg kick. Knee from Cowboy. Handstand wheelkick from Pettis completely unacknowledged by Rogan and Goldy. Right from Pettis. Side kick. Straight left, again. Big body kick, again from Pettis, again. Left hand, jump off the fence knee from Pettis. Another big body kick from Pettis and Cowboy goes down, this fight is over. He broke him in half. Shin right to the liver. Cowboy goes to his knees, Pettis gives him a right hand but it was inconsequential. My god this Pettis!! He gets on top of the cage and points at the title that’s not around his waist but that he’s coming for.

That may be the most impressive couple of minutes anyone has ever performed inside the Octagon.

Page to his knees. To his feet. Left hook and a leg kick from Page. Glover misses with a huge haymaker. Page counters with a nice left. Head kick from Glover connects. Page scores with an uppercut. Jab, jab from Glover. He ducks Glover’s punch, great head movement. Nice body combo from Glover. Glover not scared to stand in the pocket. Leg kick Glover. Page shoots, shrugged off, runs away, Glover chases, lands a left from the side. Glover wobbles him with a left hook. Glover drops him with a left but he makes his way up, back to the cage, big one two from Page. Jab, jab. One two from Glover. One two from Page stuns Glover. Woah guys!  Huge heat being thrown here, both guys looking for the big KO. PMN has it 10-9 Glover.

Round 2 – I thought it would be a mistake for Glover to stand in the pocket, but not so far. Jab from Glover. Glover shoots for a single, drives through and gets him down. Now on top inside half guard. Glover with a few elbows and punches but Page gets up, uppercut from Page. Two big uppercuts from Page while holding a half plum. Glover lands a left hook, again. Uppercuts from Page. Jab, right hook. Jab from Glover. Big body shot from Page. Jab. One two Glover. Overhand right. Two uppercuts from Glover. Duck and roll defense from Page is working good. Jab from page, shoots, stuffed. Body kick Glover. High kick, blocked. Misses a front kick. One two Page. Jab. One two Glover. Big heat from Page. Big one two to the body from Glover. Uppercut from Glover. Big one two three from Glover. One two from Page. Left hook. Glover smiles at him. Glover is taking his best shots, bell sounds and he just smiles at him. PMN sees it 10-9 Glover.

Round 3 – Page looks tired. Stand in the pocket and they start trading. Big right from Glover, body kick from page, jab, jab. One two from Page, Glover shakes his head “no”. Glover gets the takedown. Crowd doesn’t like that. Glover in half guard on top, drops a couple elbows. Page gets up, eats an uppercut. Page comes at him with big punches, he wants the KO. Swinging big. Page grabs a single, lets it go. He’s cut under his left eye. They trade big jabs. Page has great boxing defense. Head kick from Glover. Big combo from Page but Glover’s defense is equally as good as Page. Takedown from Glover but Page gets right up. Body shot and knee from Glover. Page is getting tired, very tired. I wish I could accurately convey the heat on these punches. Bad Bad intentions on Page’s punches. Glover with the takedown, full mount. 30 seconds to go. Hammerfists, elbows and punches. Glover helps him up and they hug it out. Rampage sits down against the cage. Awesome fight. PMN has it 10-9 and 30-27 for Glover.

UFC Flyweight Championship Fight

Round 1 – By the way, I’ve gotten all my picks right so far, and for the record, I predicted Dodson to win here. Man these guys look small under Big John McCarthy as he starts the fight. Suffice it to say I won’t be calling every single strike here. Body kick Dodson. Leg kick Johnson. Again. Body punch Dodson. Body punch, leg kick Dodson. Drops Johnson with a left hand. He gets right up. Head kick Johnson, Dodson gets under it and slams him. Right hand Johnson, left counter. Right Johnson, clinch, knee, blocked. Leg kick Johnson. Nice couple of dirty lefts from Dodson. Leg kick. Right hand from Johnson, left from Dodson catches Johnson running in. Johnson goes for the takedown, Dodson uses his hands to keep his butt from touching, Johnson picks him up higher and puts him down. Dodson gets right up. Johnson lands a clean right hand. Johnson backs out to the center. Stalking, leg kick. Johnson clinches. PMN has it 10-9 Dodson.

Round 2 – Leg kick, jab, Johnson. Nice left counter from Dodson. Body kick, left hand. Clinch, knee exchange. Johnson drops levels and gets Dodson to his butt but he bounces right up. Right to the body, right to the face from Johnson. Leg kick Johnson, leg kick Dodson. Big punch combo from Dodson and the final left drops Johnson. Round 3 – Leg kick Johnson. Again. Left counter from Dodson as Johnson tries to shoot. Leg kick Johnson. Body kick. Knee from Dodson as Johnson shoots. He grabs a single and Dodson defends by hopping on one leg. Johnson puts a knee in his groin. Time is called. Leg kick Dodson. Big body kick. Flying knee from Dodson, catches a leg kick, counters with a big left. Body kick Johnson. Right from Johnson. Leg kick. Leg kick Dodson, right hand. Johnson ducks a few big punches. Leg kick Johnson. Big body kick from Dodson. Johnson fires back with a couple punches, he gets Dodson down. Elbow from the bottom by Dodson after taking one from Johnson. Dodson gets to a knee but Johnson gets him back down. Body shots from Johnson.  Dodson gets up, takes a knee to the body. Johnson right back on him looking for the takedown. They trade knees. Round 4 – Jackson tells Dodson to stay busy. Two leg kicks. Right from Dodson, left counter from Johnson. Knee to the body from Dodson. Johnson with the takedown, side control. Dodson to his feet, he still has a hand down and Johnson hits him with a knee to the head. Time is called for the illegal move. Docs come in to check him out. Touch gloves. Leg kick Johnson. Left Dodson. Dodson catches a kick, lands the counter left, body shot. Johnson shoots, pulls the single leg up high. Clinch, knees. Dodson backs out. Left, right from Johnson, constantly attacking, constant pressure from Johnson, he grabs the single and pushes Dodson to the cage. They trade knees. Knee to the face from Johnson. Dodson puts his hand down. He lets his hand up and is taking more knees to the head.  This scenario happens over and over again. Dodson is now cut and dropping blood. Johnson is holding him landing big knees. Dodson gets up and they swing big punches, both landing. But Johnson smashed him the end of that round. PMN sees it 10-9 Johnson.

Round 5 – They hug. Leg kick Johnson, Dodson with one back. Body jab Johnson. Jab, leg kick Johnson, clinch, knee from Johnson, then gets the takedown. Dodson’s back to the cage. Dodson gets up, turns Johnson to the cage. They trade knees. Johnson with the clinch, Dodson backs out and Johnson chases him down with punches. Leg kick Johnson. Dodson seems to be breaking down. He pushes Johnson to the cage and gets a takedown. But Johnson is right up and in his face. Clinch, knees from Johnson, he hurts him with one to the face. Dodson tries to cover up. Clinch, big knee from Johnson, Thai plum, big knees to the face, punches to the body. Johnson with the Thai plum, two more knees to the face. Again. Great performance from the Champ. Dodson started out so strong but Johnson is so durable and just kept the pressure on until it wore Dodson out. PMN has the round 10-9 for Johnson and the fight 48-47 for Johnson.
