Happy New Year! Pro MMA Now Radio returns and we kick off 2013 with a treat for our loyal listeners. Invicta FC 4 goes down this Saturday and we welcome guests from the elite all women’s professional promotion.
Shannon Knapp visited with us just a couple days before Invicta FC 4 to talk about her plans and hopes for the event. Did she think she would be at event 4 by now and have garnered a global audience? We will find out tonight when President Knapp returns to the program.
Undefeated and riding a wave of attention, Bec “Rowdy” Hyatt joins us tonight. Hyatt steps up to the main event and has the opportunity to become the inaugural Invicta straweight champion. Making the trip from Australia and faced with a huge challenge in a fight against Carla Esparza, Hyatt will chat with us.
There is an art to being an MMA cutman. There are few that do it better than our guest tonight David Maldonado. David has been a part of numerous regional events as well as being seen getting the fighters ready to go for shows like RFA, XFC and more. David will be headed to Lexington,KY tomorrow night and will have plenty of knowledge to drop on us.
Tonight we have a special guest co-host. Gina Begley with BluegrassMMA and contributor to WV Fight Sports Radio will help us out with her wisdom of Invicta and MMA in general. Gina is a 2-1 amateur mixed martial artist, mother to an 8 year old NAGA champion and soon to be college graduate. Gina has a fight scheduled for February 2nd in Shepherdsville, KY.
