UFC heavyweight Stefan Struve

The UFC will return to Tokyo, Japan, on March 3rd for their second Japan show in the past year.

UFC officials have announced the first bout agreement for the card, and heavyweights Mark Hunt and Stefan Struve will finally do battle.

The two were originally supposed to fight at UFC 146, but Hunt had to withdraw from the bout with an injury. Struve went on to take out Lavar Johnson via first round submission to get the win.

The UFC on FUEL TV 8 event will take place at the famed Saitama Super Arena where UFC 144 took place in the UFC’s last visit to Japan.

Hunt (8-7) was last seen at the aforementioned UFC 144, knocking out heavyweight striker Cheick Kongo in the very first round. Hunt has been out of action since that bout due to injuries, but is riding a three fight winning streak.

Struve (25-5) is coming off the win over Lavar Johnson at UFC 146. Struve has won four consecutive fights since being knocked out by Travis Browne at UFC 130 in May 2011. He has finished all four of those opponents either via TKO or submission.

It’ll be an interesting contrast in styles as Struve will be a foot taller than Hunt, but Hunt has knockout power that can put anybody out for the count.
