ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) reporter Anton Skoro recently caught up with former Strikeforce champ and current UFC middleweight Jake Shields (27-6-1, 1 NC) at the inaugural World Series of Fighting event in Las Vegas.

Shields talked about his newfound love of kickboxing and pointed out how it is easier to get good at something when you enjoy it.  The exception to that for Shields is wrestling, which although he is very good at, he admitted it is not something he thoroughly enjoys.

Shields is currently under suspension for six months due to a failed drug test following a unanimous decision win over Ed Herman at UFC 150 back in August. That win was subsequently overturned to a No-Contest.

Shields said he has been helping his teammates get ready for their upcoming bouts and hopes to return to action in February. As far as who he wants to face next, Shields said he would love a rematch with Jake Ellenberger, who by the way, became the first person to stop Shields in over a decade at UFC Fight Night 25 in September of last year.
