LAS VEGAS — With a record of 28-4-2, 42-year-old Antonio McKee has one of the winning-est records in pro mixed martial arts. ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) reporter Anton Skoro caught up with the newly-signed World Series of Fighting fighter at their inaugural event in Las Vegas over the weekend.

McKee said he just signed a four-fight deal with WSOF and plans to make one more run. He also explained what keeps drawing him back into competition and said if someone can give him a “real good ass-whoopin” he’s done. That’s a big “if” too, as “Mandingo” has only lost one fight in almost a decade — a split decision loss to Jacob Volkmann at UFC 125 in January 2011.

As someone who came from a rough upbringing and was able to overcome that and achieve a high level of success, McKee talked about the fulfillment he derives from giving back, being able to set an example, pushing for a fighters union and help up-and-coming fighters.

As with many fighters who have won a lot of their bouts via decision, McKee has taken some criticism for “playing it safe”. McKee explained why he has nothing to lose at this point in his career and we could see a more aggressive style from him inside the World Series of Fighting cage.
