The XFC 21: “Night of the Champions II” card will undergo a minor change when former XFC featherweight champion Jarrod Card steps in to fight Keith Richardson on the December 7th card.

Card will replace Nashville’s Luke Sanders who suffered an injury during training camp. XFC officials informed ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) of the change on Monday.

XFC 21 will air LIVE on AXStv with the broadcasting beginning at 9 p.m.

Richardson (8-3) will look to keep his momentum going when he takes on Jarrod Card. Richardson dominated Lawson McClure at XFC 19, winning via submission and inked a long term deal with the promotion. It was his XFC debut which took place in front of many friends and family in Charlotte, NC.

Card is a North Carolinian (12-6-1) that is coming off a KO loss to Marlon Moraes at XFC 17. The loss came after Card had been away from the sport for a year and a half. Card become the XFC featherweight champion by defeating Bruce Conners at XFC 8 in April 2009.

However, the XFC and Bellator veteran has dropped three straight bouts since his last win at XFC 1o.  He’ll be looking to re-establish himself against a fighter that’s red hot in Richardson, which should make for an explosive fight to start the night on AXStv.

The XFC 21 main card can be found below:

  • Nick Newell vs. Eric Reynolds
  • Corey Hill vs. Ryan Thomas
  • Stephanie Eggink vs. Heather Jo Clark
