Undefeated welterweight Drew Kennedy talks first round submission win at XFC 20

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Undefeated Tennessee welterweight Drew Kennedy (5-0) picked up his fifth straight pro win Friday night with a first round rear-naked choke submission of Anthony Lemon (3-1) at “XFC 20: High Octane” at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium.

Kennedy has finished all five of his pro fights via submission and finished the majority of his amateur fights by either submission or (T)KO. He is definitely an up-and-coming 170-pounder to keep your eye on.

ProMMAnow.com’s Gary Thomas caught up with Kennedy after the bout to get his thoughts on his performance, what it felt like to get the win in front of his friends and family there in Knoxville and where he goes from here.
