The main event for KSW 20 has been confirmed as Mariusz Pudzianowski (4-2-1) faces Christos Piliafas (4-1) in a heavyweight battle. The event is set to take place at the Ergo Arena in Gdańsk/Sopot, Poland, on Sept. 15.

The main event was confirmed by KSW via official press release earlier this week.

KSW 20 will also feature a co-main event between Jan Błachowicz and Houston Alexander who will engage in a light-heavyweight war. Also, Marcin Różalski is set to take on Jerome Le Banner in a matchup that was supposed to happen at KSW 18, however, Le Banner’s injured knee

postponed the bout. The event will be available to watch on Pay-Per-View.

Mariusz Pudzianowski was last in action at KSW 19 in May, where he scored a first round TKO victory over Bob Sapp. Prior to that he recorded a no contest against James Thompson last November, and also lost to Thompson via second round submission in their first meeting at KSW 16 in May 2011. Pudzianowski now has an opportunity to put another notch in the win column with a big performance against Piliafas.

Christos Piliafas is currently riding a four fight winning streak, most recently defeating Will Crockett for a second time via first round TKO at the “KOTC-Homecoming” event last September. Just prior to that he scored another first round TKO against Joe Mellotte at “KOTC-Underground 70” in August 2011. A big win over Pudzianowski will definitely take Christos one step higher in the heavyweight division.
