It took Ovince Saint Preux two rounds to get started in his last fight against Gegard Mousasi, but tonight a single punch got him back to his winning ways as he landed a brutal left hand that put T.J. Cook away just seconds into the final frame.

Saint Preux got off early, going to the head kick right out of the gate. After exchanging kicks, “OSP” landed a monster left hand that dropped Cook. Saint Preux went for the kill, throwing a flurry of strikes from the top as Cook scrambled to survive. Somehow Cook made his way to his feet, but quickly found himself on the wrong end of vicious uppercuts and more head kicks. Cook hung tough, firing back with brutal shots to the body of Saint Preux. “OSP” secured a late takedown and went for arm, but time would run out on the opening round.

Cook came out in the second flashing his jab, but again got caught with kicks to the body and head. Cook started to land some big right hands as the round wore on but gave up another late takedown. Saint Preux dominated the action on the ground, moving to full mount and dropping a mix of left hands and short elbows to finish off the second round.

Saint Preux appeared to be the fresher fighter to start the third and went to his jab as he closed distance on Cook. Saint Preux then dropped the fight-ending looping left hand that crumpled Cook to the mat completely unconscious.

The win moves Saint Preux to 12-5 overall (6-1 SF).
