One of the best European heavyweights and Bellator veteran, Michal “Masakra” Kita (12-6) will face XFC veteran Chris “Beast Boy” Barnett (7-1) in the Fighters Arena 3 main event Sept. 29 in Lodz, Poland.

The fight, along with two others on the card, are being promoted as Poland vs. USA. The rest of the card is being promoted as Lodz vs Warsaw, with fighters representing both cities facing off against one another.

Michal Kita is probably best known to U.S. MMA fans for his Bellator fight against current UFC heavyweight Dave “Pee Wee” Herman in Sept. 2010. The Polish fighter lost to Herman by omoplata submission in the first round. Six months later Kita lost in a controversial match to Konstantin Gluhov at Fighters Arena 1.

Kita bounced back with a win over former UFC heavyweight champ Ricco Rodriguez in Nov. 2011 in Warsaw. Most recently, Kita faced another legend, Valentijn Overeem, in March and submitted him in less than 90 seconds by guillotine choke.

During his career which began in 2009 with the XFC, Barnett has defeated the likes of current M-1 Global heavyweight champion Kevin Garner, knocking him out in the third round at XFC 10 in March 2010. The Florida-based fighter also defeated dangerous grappler Mario Rinaldi via TKO at XFC 13 in Dec. 2010.

Barnett has not fought since April 2011 when he won a unanimous decision over Walter Harris at World Extreme Fighting 46 in Florida. “Beast Boy’s” only loss to date was a majority decision loss to Bellator season five heavyweight tournament winner Eric Prindle at Martial Combat 12 in 2010.

In the Fighter Arena 3 co-main event, Poland’s Lukasz Chlewicki (8-2), from Grappling Krakow, is set to face Texas’ Danny Taylor (0-3). And rounding out the Poland vs. U.S. main card, Tychy’s Pawel Ostasz (5-4) will face yet another Texas fighter, Alex Black (1-3).
