That retirement didn’t last very long. UFC officials announced on Friday that Matt Hamill will come out of retirement to face Roger Hollett at UFC 152 on September 22 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.

Matt Hamill was last seen in action at UFC 133 getting battered for rising UFC contender Alexander Gustafsson. Hamill was finished via TKO and announced his retirement after the bout concluded. He lost a bout to Ramage Jackson via unanimous decision at UFC 130 prior to the loss to Gustafsson.

Canadian Roger Hollett (13-3) will be  making his UFC debut after fighting for promotions like Bellator and Maximum Fighting Championship. He’s riding a five fight winning streak and was last seen in action winning a split decision over John Hawk.

UFC 152 will be headlined by the inaugural UFC flyweight title fight between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson. The co-main event will be a middleweight bout between Brian Stann and Michael Bisping.
