CHICO CAMUS
Welcome back to another episode of the only show that DOESN’T PULL PUNCHES! FIST-ta-CUFF Radio is back this week with Episode 149 and our first guest is stepping into the shop for the first time and ready to talk about stepping into the Octagon for his first time. Oh and let me mention the man is bringing his crown. Chico “King” Camus is set to make his UFC debut against Dustin Pague at UFC 150. Just a little background on Chico: he trains with Duke Roufus and the boys in Milwaukee and is known to have some very heavy hands. Chico is on a 3 fight win streak and looking to extend it to four. NICK NEWELL
Our next guest had never seen a second round until his last fight. Many questioned how he would do outside of the early minutes of a fight. I think he answered that question as his last fight went the distance and saw him win by majority decision. “Notorious” Nick Newell is back in the shop and ready to talk his upcoming fight at XFC 19. Nick is set to face the very heavy handed David Mays in what may be his toughest opponent to date. Nick’s opponent has won several of his fight by submission due to strikes, so we have got to break down this match up, talk to Nick about his past for you that have missed him on previous shows, and much more. PHIL DE FRIES
Philip De Fries kicks things off to start the second hour and I can’t wait to talk to him about his upcoming match up. Phil is set to take on a former Britain Strongman. This fight could equal fireworks as most Heavyweight fights do. We will talk to Phil about the start of his career, his last fight, and of course this fight coming up. Phil and Oli Thompson were scheduled for Phil’s UFC debut but Oli was forced to pull out due to injury, we will discuss with Phil how you train for a man that you were previously scheduled to fight along with the pros and cons of the situation. Phil has a very solid ground game and you know we are going to talk a little about his skills on the mat and phone lines will be open for you to ask any questions you want. JOHN MORAGA
Our last guest is set to make his UFC debut inside the newest weight class. John Moraga is the latest 125 lb fighter signed to the UFC and he is set to take on another new fighter in Ulysses Gomez. This fight has a great chance at taking fight of the night honors regardless of who else is on the card. You might not know much about John but he is very underrated in this fight, and anxious to show off his skills inside the octagon. John has a great ground game, with five of his ten wins coming on the mat. We will talk to John about his time on the mat at ASU and his time on the mat now with fellow ASU athletes.
