News emerged today that GLORY Sports International has partnered with Tokyo based events producer G-Entertainment to bring an event named “GLORY Grand Slam – Heavyweight” to Tokyo in December.

The event will feature some of GLORY’s top heavyweight fighters, who will face off in a truly world-class kickboxing event. Additional details concerning ‘GLORY Grand Slam – Heavyweight’ – including the date and venue plus invited fighters and match-ups will be announced soon.

 “This is a very exciting time for us. Bringing GLORY to the home of the martial arts, and taking our top fighters who are idolised by the Japanese fans, is a crucial moment for us,” Luer also said “We are delighted by the partnership with G-Entertainment. They have a team of top professionals behind them and we have no doubt that, together, we will produce a world-class spectacle.”

GLORY’s new partners, G-Entertainment, are a brand new agency focused on fighting sports, formed by some of the most experienced people in Japan’s fight event production industry. Although it is a newly formed company, all the key management and staff are industry veterans involved in various fighting sports and tournaments in the past in Japan.

The new partnership expects to bring a new and exciting format to the Japanese fans, showcasing some of best stand-up heavyweight’s around.
