UFC flyweight Ian McCall

A new bout has been added to the UFC on Fox 4 card as “Uncle Creepy” Ian McCall (11-3-1) meets John Moraga (10-1) in a flyweight battle at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Aug. 4.

UFC officials announced the fight via UFC.com earlier today.

UFC on Fox 4 will feature a headline bout between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Brandon Vera who take each other on in a light-heavyweight matchup. The main card for the event will air LIVE on Fox with the prelims set to air on Fuel TV and Facebook.

Ian McCall last fought at UFC on FX 3 in June, where he dropped a unanimous decision to Demetrious Johnson in the UFC Flyweight Tournament Semifinal, after previously recording a draw against Johnson in March. Prior to that McCall won the Tachi Palace Fights Flyweight Championship after building up a three fight winning streak in the promotion, defeating Jussier da Silva, Dustin Ortiz, and Darrell Montague for the title in August 2011.

John Moraga enters this fight riding a four fight winning streak, most recently defeating Maurice Senters at Rage In The Cage 160 event last month. Prior to that he scored a first round submission victory over Matthew Garcia in February, and two submission wins over Nathaniel Baker and Freddie Lux during 2011.
