MMA fans expecting to attend a UFC show in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 7th have been hit with the okie doke. The event was supposed to take place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, but those plans have changed according to UFC officials. The event will now take place on October 5th at a city and location to be named soon and will not be taking place in Indianapolis.

According to UFC officials, Bankers Life Fieldhouse was not available for a UFC event on October 5th but will plan to bring another event to the Indianapolis soon.

Indiana was the home for UFC 119 which was headlined by a heavyweight contest between Frank Mir and Mirko Cro Cop in September 2010. That was the UFC’s first trip to Indiana and drew 15,811 fans for a $1.6 million gate.

The main card for  UFC on FX will air on the FX channel with the remainder of the card airing on FUEL TV or Facebook as past events have done.
