The Ultimate Fighting Championship promotion continues to add fights to their UFC 150 card with TUF veteran Chris Camozzi (17-5) meeting Buddy Roberts (12-2) in a middleweight bout on August 11 at Denver’s Pepsi Center.

News of the fight was first announced on UFC.com where is was confirmed that the two fighters have verbally agreed to square off.

UFC 150 will be headlined by Benson Henderson defending his UFC Lightweight Tile against Frankie Edgar in a rematch from UFC 144. The main card for this event will air LIVE on PPV with the prelims expected to air on FX and Facebook.

Denver native Chris Camozzi is currently riding a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Nick Catone via third round TKO at ‘UFC on FX: Maynard vs. Guida’ last month. Prior to that he scored a third round submission victory over Dustin Jacoby at ‘UFC on Fox: Evans vs. Davis’ in January. Camozzi will no doubt look to pick up a third consecutive victory against Roberts and continue his climb up the middleweight ladder.

Buddy Roberts enters this fight on a six fight winning streak, most recently defeating Caio Magalhaes via unanimous decision in his promotional debut at UFC on FX 3 in June. Prior to that he scored a unanimous decision victory over Tony Lopez at the ‘Jackson’s MMA Series 5’ event in July 2011, and another unanimous decision win over Robert Turner at a regional event in Florida earlier that year. It will be very interesting to see how Buddy performs in his second UFC appearance.
