ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) reporter Gary Thomas caught up with rising middleweight Reggie Pena (10-5) following his second round submission victory over UFC veteran John Salter (8-3) in the “XFC 18: Music City Mayhem” main event in Nashville, Tenn.

Pena found himself in deep trouble in round one after being taken down, mounted and on the wrong end of an armbar. Somehow though the Tampa “Regulator” hung tough, escaped, and made it through the round. It was a different story in round two as Pena used his boxing to force the shot from Salter, then caught him in a fight ending guillotine just 36-seconds into the round.

With the win Pena improved his XFC record to 4-0 and said he is ready for whatever and whoever the XFC wants for him. Pena is still under contract with the XFC, so be on the lookout for “The Regulator” and stay tuned for his next fight .
