Olympic medalist and current Strikeforce bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (5-0) will put her title on the line when she takes on former champion Sarah Kaufman (15-1) on Aug. 18 in San Diego.

Rousey has had five pro fights and has ended them all in the first round via armbar. Her opponents know what is coming, yet still are unable to stop the assault of the 25-year-old judoka. Rousey won the Strikeforce women’s 135 pound title in March by snapping the arm of Miesha Tate.

Kaufman, 26, held the Strikeforce bantamweight title before Rousey even started her pro career. Primarily a striker, 10 of her 15 wins have come via knockout. The only loss in Kaufman’s career came in October 2010 when she lost her title to Dutch veteran Marloes Coenen by… guess it… armbar.

Kaufman has won three straight since the loss to Coenen, most recently winning a majority decision over Alexis Davis at “Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey” in March.
