Words from a wooly-headed warrior: We need a montage

Matt Metts will face Scott Holtzman at XFC 18 - Music City Mayhem, live on HDNet

I’m back with the long awaited first video installment in my blog series, just a few weeks out from my fight against Scott Holtzman at XFC 18. I wanted to give you all a chance to see a small piece of the strength and conditioning workouts I go through with my strength and conditioning coach, Jason Layne, at XCEL. The other guy you’ll see in the video is my teammate Joe Schiff, who is training for an amateur title fight on June 23.

As always, I want to take a minute to thank my sponsors that are supporting me while I get ready for this fight – On Point Athletics, BluegrassMMA, Lexani, Lucky’s Auto Sports, and Catbird Printing. I also want to give a shout out to my newest sponsor, BangTown fightwear.

Thanks to Gary Thomas of BluegrassMMA.com and ProMMAnow.com for editing all of the video for me.  Stay tuned for more video next week!

Make sure to follow me on Twitter for the most up to date info about my fight prep, @metts155. #getready
