FAIRFAX, Va. – ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) is on the scene at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., for tonight’s UFC on FUEL TV 3 card which features a featherweight match-up between Dustin Poirier and “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung in the main event.

The UFC on FUEL TV 3 preliminary card fights will stream LIVE on the UFC’s Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/UFC) starting at 5:30 p.m. ET (2:30 p.m. PT), and the main card will air LIVE on FUEL TV beginning at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).

ProMMAnow.com will provide LIVE results and play-by-play commentary for all of tonight’s action. Following tonight’s event there will be a UFC on FUEL TV 3 post-fight press conference which will stream LIVE in on our UFC Streams page starting at approximately 11:30 p.m. ET (8:30 p.m. PT).

Francisco Rivera vs. Alex Soto

Round 1 – Fighters touch gloves. Soto throws a kick but checked by Riveral Rivera shoots but its stuffed by Soto. Soto throws a knee to the midesction. RIvera lands a hard shot that drops Soto. He recovers to his feet and shoots again to no avail. Rivera lands several big shots and the fighters clinch. Soto escapes  but is dropped by Rivera. Soto grabs a leg and works to a takedown. Soto with top position but no offense. Rivera scambles away and eats a knee. Fighters standing  with Rivera throwing quick combinations. Rivera is looking for a quick knockout but Soto is elusive. Figheters trade leg kicks.  Rivera misses a straight left. Fighters trade some shots and Rivera lands a kick that wakes up the crowd. Soto pushes Rivera against the fence but walks back to the center of the cage. Soto throws another leg kick half heartedly. Rivera is controlling the cage. R

Round 2 – Rivera starts the round with a good combination. Soto throws a kick that bother Rivera. Maybe a tad low. Rivera is stalking Soto around the cage. Rivera lands a kick to the groin of Soto that stops the action briefly. Rivera lands another kick to the groin and again action halts. Rivera and Soto trade leg kicks. Rivera lands a quick jab. Soto goes for a takedown but pops back up. Rivera lands a kick and catches Soto right in the mouth with a jab. Soto blows Francisco a kiss and escapes. Soto lands a low blow and action again stops. Rivera throws a kick that backs Soto up a bit. They continue to circle the octagon  with Rivera controlling his territory. Rivera drops Soto with a head kick but he recovers. Rivera coming with punches in bunches but the round ends. Unofficial score – Rivera 20-18

Round 3 – Soto comes out fast but Rivera dodges him. Soto gets a takedown and lands a shot from the top before Rivera gets to his feet. Francisco gets in a a nice shot. Great front kick by Rivera but Soto will not go down. Rivera lands another right and Soto is running dazed. Rivera puts the pressure on  and lands a couple wild punches. Soto gets his composure but finds himself with his back against the cage. Soto throws a combination . Rivera presses forward but at a slower pace. Rivera lands a left to the side of Soto’s head. Rivera throws a kick and Soto catches it but can’t hold him. Soto throws his own kick but doesn’t land.  Round ends with both guys throwing some kicks.  Unofficial score Rivera 30-27.

Jeff Curran vs. Johnny Eduardo

Round 1 – Curran throws a kick but takes a lopping right from Eduardo. Curran with a right of his own but no go. Eduardo thinks about a kick but pulls it back. Slow action so far. Eduardo lands a kick to the thigh of Curran. Curran decides to do it to Johnny. Curran misses with a big right hook. Eduardo lands a quick combo. Curran drops his hands maybe to lure Eduardo in but it doesn’t work. Eduardo with another leg kick. Curran misses a left and gets another kick to the thigh. Curran wants to kick but doesn’t commit and takes a shot to the thigh once again from Eduardo. They briefly clinch but Curran backs out. Eduardo continues to work the leg of Curran as the round ends. Unofficial score Eduardo 10-9

Round 2 – Eduardo finds his groove and starts to punish the legs of Curran to start Round 2. Curran backs out to the center of the octagon and the action slows. Curran drops his hand again and is rewarded with a sharp kick to the leg. Curran is throwing a ton of punches but they can’t reach the very fast Eduardo. Eduardo lands a sloppy right and follows with a spinning kick that is off the mark. Curran swings and misses again and is dealt another leg kick. Curan misses a big uppercut.  Johnny gets another inside leg kick. Curran lands a left jab that backs Eduardo up a bit. Jeff shoots for a takedown but can’t get it. After a couple meaningless exchanges the round ends. Unofficial score Eduardo 20-18

Round 3 – Eduardo starts suprisingly with a leg kick that nearly takes Curran down. Curran can’t get many shots to land so he goes for a takedown. It is stuffed by Eduardo and they clinch. Curran escapes. Eduardo lands a sharp right hand  and a kick that was low but Curran shook it off. Curran does land a solid shot to the face of Eduardo but Eduardo holds his eye. The ref doesnt’ stop the action and Curran lands another big shot. Curran is finding his range and lands a big left. His momentum is halted with another leg kick. Once again Eduardo holds his eye as if it were poked but action continues. Fighters exchange some jabs before Curran starts working his left. A head kick by Eduardo is checked and Curran attempts another takedown but it is unsuccessful. Curran connects with a left that may have rocked Eduardo. Eduardo looks composed and swings back. The crowd gets in to the fight as both men finish the round swinging. Unofficial score 30-27 Eduardo.

Rafael dos Anjos vs. Kamal Shalorus

Round 1 – Shalorus comes out the aggressor as they trade a few quick blows.  Dos Anos drops Shalorus with a big shot and follows him to the ground.  He works hard on a submission and locks in the rear naked choke. After fighting it off Shalorus taps and the fight is over.

T.J. Grant vs. Carlo Prater

Round 1 – Prater throws a quick left and Grant follows that with a big right, both off the mark. Prater gets a nice inside leg kick. Prater throws his right leg out and Grant catches it briefly. Fighter lock up int the middle of the octagon but no action as Grant excapes. Grant works a combo but can’t land it. Grant tries a take down but is thwarted. He pushes Prater against the fence. Prater reverses it and Grant gets away. Grant eats a couple jabs before they lock up again. Grant frees himself. Grant lands a nice combination. Grants works for and gets a takedown. Grant works from the top position. Grant gets side control as the round ends. Unofficial score Grant 10-9

Round 2 – Grant comes out aggressive and gets Prater against the cage. Grant gets a few knees in before they break. Prater finds himself with his back against the fence as Grant lands a few more knees. Grant works a little dirty boxing before stepping back towards the center of the cage. Grant lands a could combo. Prater counters with a leg kick that is checked. Grant connects with a big shot to Prater’s face. Prater get s a guillotine attempt and drops Grant. Grant recovers and gets his own choke in before deciding to attempt a takedown which he gets .Prater wants Grant’s arm but doesn’t get it for long. Grant starts working the body of Prater. Prater scrambles out as the round ends. Unofficial Score – Prater 20-18

Round 3 – Grant comes out looking to end the fight with several big swings. Prater starts bouncing around. Grant looks for a takedown. Prater gets a guillotine locked in on the ground and holds it. Grant gets to side control and gets some damaging shots in. Grant is able to get top position and looks to go to full mount but Prater is doing a good job at holding him down. Grant gets Prater’s back and tries a rear naked choke but its a no go. After a scramble on the ground Grant gets to his feet and gets behind Prater. Grant gets a huge slam and works in an armbar. Not enough time though, the round ends. Unofficial Score Grant 30-27

Cody McKenzie vs. Marcus LeVesseur

Round 1 – McKenzie hurry across the cage but finds himself on his back after LeVesseur takes him down. Marcus comes up holding the groin and referee Keith Peterson stops the action. LeVesseur misses a leg kick. McKenzie thwos a kick to the head but doesn’t connect. McKenzie falls down but gets up. LeVesseur lands a nice uppercut and McKenzie is sown on the canvas. Marcus works a guillotine of his own for a second but scrambles around and gets top position. Not much action as McKenzie is holding on right. Cody lands a few quick punches to the head of Levesseur and gets his famous guillotine locked in. McKenzie is squeezing hard and LeVesseur taps out.

Dongi Yang vs. Brad Tavares

Round 1 – Tavares lands a kick and Yang takes. Yang gets an inside leg kick. Fighters exchange some kicks. Tavares throws heavy and Yang ducks out of the way. Tavares sits patiently looking for a shot. Yang gets a kick to the leg of Tavares that lights the crowd up briefly. Tavares throws a big left but misses his target. Tavares with a jumping kick that looked good but doesn’t land. Yong gets poked in the eye and action stops. Yang comes out and gets Tavares in the eye. After a break Tavares comes out throwing and pushes Yang back. Fighters have a brief exchange and Tavares throws a leg kick. Yang pushes Tavares against the fence and Brad reverses position. The round ends with fighters against the cage. Unofficial Score Yang 10-9

Round 2 – Round 2 starts with fighters touching gloves. Tavares looks to land a combo. Yang throws a pretty high kick but it is checked. Tavares decides to do the same but Yang moves out of the way. The exchange kicks again. Tavares is favoring the front kick but isn’t getting any results. Yang closes the distance and lands a nice straight left. Yang is active with his hands and Tavares can’t answer the flurry of punches. Yang pressures Tavares against the fence and knees the shins. He pushes for and gets the takedown of Tavares but Brad gets up quickly. Yang gets a good trip on Tavares but he again is right back up. Action stalls and the round concludes. Unofficial Score – Yang 20-18

Round 3 – Tavares lands a nice kick and follows it up with a good take down. Yang gets to his feet to be taken right back down. Yang attempts to work the body but Tavares has good control. Yang tries to stand and Tavares slams him back down to the crowds pleasure. Yang looks confused to be in this position and mounts no real offense. The ref  stops the action and the fighters are brought to their feet. Tavares tries a few combos but nothing working. Tavares throws a kick and it lands flush to the groin of Yang. After a short break action resumes with Tavares the aggressor. A couple brief exchanges in the middle of the cage but the pace starts to slow. Tavares is off the mark with a head kick and gets punished when he attempts a takedown. Yang connects with the uppercut. Tavares throws another kick that is checked by Yang. The crowd wants more action but nothing really worthy of a response from the crowd. The round ends as Yang gets a takedown. Unofficial score Yang 30-27

Tom Lawlor vs. Jason MacDonald

Round 1 – McDonald starts the action with a head kick that is checked by Lawlor. McDonald rushes in and is caught by a guillotine but escapes. Lawlor connects and knocks McDonald to the mat with a right that stops the fight.

Fabio Maldonado vs. Igor Pokrajac

Round 1 – Pokrajac starts the fight by putting Maldonado on his back. Igor tries to lock in side control as he drops a couple elbows to Fabio. Maldonado has the right arm of Pokrajac but Igor slips away and works to mount. Good hips on Maldonado but Pokrajac gets side control. Maldonado is holding Igor down tight and tries to sit up. Igor throws a nice shot from the top. Maldonado tries to get up as Pokrajac takes his back. Igor slips off and is on his back. Maldonado lets him up . Maldonado starts throwing punches in bunches but Pokrajac is blocking most of the shots. Igor misses a huge shot as Maldonado ducks just in time. Maldonado gets Pokrajac against the cage and wants to unload. Igor escapes to the center of the octagon as the round ends.  Unoffical Score Maldonado 10-9

Round 2 – Round 2 starts with Maldonado throwing a big left. Pokrajac backs up and tries an inside leg kick. Igor lands two huge punches that gets Maldonado against the fence. Pokrajac looks for the take down with a single leg but has difficulty. Igor gets back to his feet and connects with a knee. He follows it up with a nice combo . Great boxing out of these two as Maldonado mounts an attack landing several shots. Maldonado works the body of Pokrajac until he can escape. Pokrajac sneaks in a knee before Maldonado his shots in. Maldonado gets hit with a short punch and looks dazed. Pokrajac doesn’t capitalize and the action slows until the round ends. Unofficial Score Maldonado 20-18

Round 3 – Fighters touch gloves and the fight ensues with Pokrajac attacking . Maldonado slows the pace and gets Igor against the fence. Maldonado works the body once again. Pokrajac lands a couple knees while they are tied up. Pokrajac wants to keep Maldonado against the fence but Dan Mirgliotta separates them. Igor pushes forward and catches Maldonado with some big shots. Fabio is forced again to the fence. Both men look tired. Pokrajac loses his mouthpiece and time is called. Maldonado is stalking Pokrajac around the cage. Pokrajac throws a kick and takes an uppercut to the chin. Pokrajac recovers and lands his own power punch. Fighters have an intense exchange and Maldonado gets the best of it. Ten seconds to go and they are throwing bombs. Great round. Unofficial score Maldonado 29-28.

Jeff Hougland vs. Yves Jabouin

Round 1 – A trading of inside leg kicks starts the round. Jabouin looks crisp with a right hand. Jabouin connects  with a spinning kick that sends Hougland to the fence. Kick from Hougland checked by Jabouin. A lot of dancing around by both fighters. Jabouin lands a strong kick that was checked by Hougland. Crowd liked it. A kick from the left leg of Jabouin send Hougland down. Jabouin throws everything but the kitchen sink at him while he’s down Hougland survives though as the round ends. Unoffical Score Jabouin 10-9

Round 2 – Jabouin lands a kick to the midsection of what has to be a hurting Hougland. Hougland goes for the takedown but Jabouin escapes. Hougland walks right into another kick to the abdomen from Jabouin. He is holding strong though trying to advance forward. Jabouin still trying to kick away but Hougland dodges. Hougland tries a kick of his own but scores little damage. Hougland gets a double leg but can’t get Yves to the ground. Action rests at the middle of the cage as both men bounce around. Jabouin connects with a right hand. He follows it up with another kick. Hougland answers with a sharp kick of his own. Head kick by Jabouin is checked by Hougland. The right eye of Hougland looks pretty bad. Unofficial score 20-18 Jabouin

Round 3 – A brief exchange of punches starts the round before Jabouin lands a shot that drops Hougland. Yves throws big punches and tries to submit Hougland. Hougland survives and looks to escape before Jaboiun gets control again. From top position Jabouin finds himself in the guard of Hougland. Jabouin lands a big shotand Hougland has nowhere to go. Hougland pulls guard. After little action the ref stands them up. Jabouin lands a big shot that drops Hougland. Yves gets a great kick in and works some ground and pound as the round ends. Dominating performance by Jabouin. Unofficial score 30-27, but hey I have been wrong all night.

Jeremy Stephens vs. Donald Cerrone

Round 1 – Cerrone starts out working his kicks. Stephens throws a combo that goes nowhere. Cerrone pushes forward with a brief attack. Stephens is smiling as nothing seems to be landing to strong. Stephens connects with an inside leg kick. Cerrone shoots in but can’t get a takedown. Cerrone works inside out clinching quickly then releasing. Cerrone connects with a leg kick but Stephens gets to the middle of the cage. Cowboy works a good combo before Stephens slips and falls. Stephens left eye is bleeding. Cerrone lands another kick and then another. Stephens rushes in as the round ends. Unofficial score 10-9 Cerrone.

Round 2 – Cowboy comes out kicking to start the round. He throws an uppercut that doesn’t land. A nice kick to the ribs however does land for him and Stephens so far has no answer. Cerrone finds his groove and starts landing bombs. Stephens winces in pain. Stephens starts to throw wild punches as Cerrone is picking his shots . Cerrone follows Stephens around the cage landing punch after punch. The eye of Stephens has really opened up at this point and he may be bleeding from his nose. Cerrone is teeing off at will. Cerrone gets the takedown. Stephens gets in an upkick. Cerrone backs out as the round ends. Unofficial score Cerrone 20-18.

Round 3 – Fighters show respect to start the round. Stephens takes a shot to the groin and action is stopped. Cerrone opens it back up with a strong leg kick to Stephens. Jeremy has to wipe the blood from his nose. Cerrone is in complete control. Cerrone powers in a kick that puts Stephens on his back. He pops up though and is throwing wild. Nothing lands as Cerrone is eluding the majority of Stephen’s arsenal. Fighters exchange punches before Cerrone lands a shot to the midsection. Fighters circle with Cerrone landing several shots. Stephens mouth piece falls out and ge gets a breather. Fighters stand and trade as the round ends. Unofficial score 30-27 Cerrone

Amir Sadollah vs. Jorge Lopez

Round 1 – Fighters touch gloves and Lopez strikes first. Lands a quick shot and pushes forward. Sadollah misses a leg kick and spins around. Amir walks into a couple shots fromLopez. Lopez presses Sadollah to the fence.As the break fighters exchange a few jabs. Sadollah tries a superman punch that does nowhere. Lopez wants a takedown and goes with a single leg. He gets Sadollah into the air but can’t get much force on the slam Lopez is on top and working. He gets the right arm of Amir and looks to be trying a kimura. Sadollah frees himself and gets Lopez’s back against the cage. He works a few knees in before the round ends. Unofficial score Lopez 10-9

Round 2 – Sadollah throws a kick to start round 2 but its off the mark. Lopez answers with a kick of his own. Jorge gets Sadollah against the fence. No real action to speak of before the fighters separate. Sadollah comes at Lopez swinging but Lopez ducks out of danger. Lopez goes for the single leg takedown but Sadollah holds strong. The crowd starts to boo. Sadollah looks to have a guillotine in as they go to the canvas. Lopez gets out and gets the arm of Sadollah, holding him agains the fence. He lets go and the fighters go to the center of the cage. Amir lands a couple leg kicks. Lopez gets a takedown and attempts to throw knees. Sadollah cage walks up as the round ends. Unofficial score 19-19

Round 3 – Lopez gets Sadollah against the fence and locks on to the single leg. He has had no success so far but holds tight. He gets Sadollah down briefly but finds himself backed against the cage. Sadollah lands a front kick that gets Lopez’s attention. Sadollah finds himself with his back against the cage and then on his back after a takedown by Lopez. Not alot of action and the boos from the crowd forces referee to stand them up. Sadollah flies in with a knee and follows it with a slick take down. In the clinch Sadollah lands a knee and the round ends. Unofficial score Sadollah 29-28

Chan Sung Jung vs. Dustin Poirier

Round 1 – Jung comes out with a kick. Poirier tries one of his own but Jung catches the leg and Dustin goes down.Poirier works from the clinch and lands a shot the the jaw. Jung gets the takedown and finds himself in the guard of Poirier. Jung drops elbows and cuts Poirier. Jung goes to the body and works the ribs of Poirier. Poirier gets an upkick. After an exchange  Dustin gets top position. Fighters get to their feet and Jung is pushed against the fence. Big action starts as Poirier lands a huge kick. Great round. Unofficial score Chan Sung Jung 10-9

Round 2 -Jung drops Poirier quickly into the second round and lands a few big shots. He finds himself in the guard of Poirier. Dustin tries an elbow from the bottom. Big left hand from the top delivered by Jung.  Jung stands and toys with Poirier before he lets him up. Jung misses a spinning punch but connects with a huge knee.  Poirier goes down. Jung gets the arm of Poirier and locks in the armbar. Dustin rolls but can’t escape it. Jung will not let go. Poirier gets composed and escapes to find himself in top position. Poirier lands a few shots before Jung laces a triangle choke. Poirier survives the round as the bell rings. Unofficial score 19-19

Round 3 – Poirier comes out kicking. Fighters exchange punches in front of Mirgliotta with Jung getting the better of the exchages. Poirier is still swinging hard but can’t land. I type that as he lands a big left. Jung throws a straight right of his own before he drops Poirier to the mat and drops big shots to his face. Amazing, Poirier gets up and fires back. Pushed against the cage Poirier takes two big shots before he lands an elbow. Great stand up by both men as they trade punch for punch. Jung punches Poirier against the cage before Dustin can circle out. A stand up war as these guys go blow for blow until the bell rings.Jung may have stolen this round . Unofficial score 29-28 Jung

Round 4- Smiling out of the corner Poirier lands a kick. Jung pushes Poirier back with a huge shot and follows it with a knee. Poirier goes down and Jung follows him. He locks in what appears to be a darce choke and Poirier is out.

  1. I do not think you have been wrong that much tonight…I’m tracking other MMA websites that are doing play by play and you all are calling the fights the same. I think it is more of a case of some BAD judging…
