Jorge Santiago weighs in at what would be his last UFC bout.

Titan Fighting Championships announced the main event bout for their upcoming show “Titan Fighting Championship 23: Fight for the Troops”. Jorge Santiago (24-10) will face Jay Silva (8-6) in a middleweight match-up.

Former Strikeforce and UFC fighter Jorge Santiago joined up with Titan Fighting Championships this year and had his debut matchup for the promotion in March at Titan Fighting Championship 21. Jorge’s Titan debut was against Leonardo Pecanha in which he won with an impressive first round knockout bouncing back from two consecutive UFC loses courtesy of Brian Stann and Demian Maia during 2011. The former Sengoku champ will now have the chance to begin a winning streak and put his slide in the UFC behind him.

Jay Silva enters this fight coming off a loss to KSW Middleweight Champion Michal Materl on May 12th, Jay lost via majority decision and will now look to bounce back against Santiago in June. Silva in similar fashion to Santiago has fought for the UFC in the past but experienced an unsuccessful stint in the promotion losing to both C.B. Dollaway and Chris Leben. Since being dropped from the UFC he has gone (3-3) fighting for various promotions in the U.S. including Bellator, Tachi Palace Fights, and Superior Cage Combat.
