Pro MMA Now Radio: Francisco Rivera interview, MMA news

Tachi Palace Fights bantamweight Francisco “Cisco” Rivera (@CiscoRiveraUFC) was our guest Thursday night on Pro MMA Now Radio with hosts Gary Thomas and Jack Bratcher.

Rivera discussed his upcoming bantamweight title fight against BJJ black belt Alexander Crispim which takes place May 10 at Tachi Palace Fights 13 in Lemoore, Calif.

Rivera was originally scheduled to fight Casey Olson for the title in the main event, however, Olson had to withdraw due to injury. We talked with Rivera about the change in opponents and got his thoughts on moving from the main event to co-main event.

Rivera talked about how he feels he matches up with Crispim and how he plans to deal with Crispim’s ground game.  He also discussed his training for this fight, where and with who he has been preparing for Crispim.

In addition to talking to Crispim, Gary and Jack discussed Alistair Overeem‘s meeting with the Nevada State Athletic Commission earlier this week, Jon Jones‘ win over Rashad Evans at UFC 145 this past weekend, Hector Lombard‘s move to the UFC and much more. Listen to the entire episode below.
