Inside the Cage Radio was back on the ESPN 1450 airwaves Thursday night in Reno with host Greg DeLong (@Gregisoldschool). Greg started off the show by talking with up-and-coming fighter Mike Caulo (@MikeCaulo), owner/creator of the “Life of a Fighter” website (www.lifeofafighter.com), which is dedicated to showing the life of a young fighter (Caulo) as he navigates through the world of mixed martial arts and makes the transition from amateur to professional. In addition to talking with Caulo, Greg brought on Sirius Fight Club’s R.J. Clifford (@RJCliffordMMA) to help recap UFC 145 which took place last weekend and featured UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones putting on a five round domination of “Suga” Rashad Evans in the main event.
The guys also discussed the Overeem situation and his appearance before the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Tuesday and how his treatment compared to how Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal was treated by the Commission when he tested positive. Greg and R.J. also talked about the the UFC press conference held in Brazil earlier this week and the UFC 147 main event rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen being moved to the UFC 148 main event.
