Middleweight fighters John Salter (8-2) and Josh Samman (9-2) will face each other in the main event at “Xtreme Fighting Championship 18: Music City Mayhem”. The match-up was recently announced by XFC officials and the event will take place on June 22nd at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Tennessee, the headliner and main card will air on HDnet.

Twenty-seven-year-old John Salter enters this fight on a three fight winning streak having defeated the likes of Casey Huffman, Kalib Starnes and Ryan Machan. Prior to those victories Salter had a three fight stint in the UFC where he defeated Jason MacDonald via TKO, but unfortunately dropped two fights against Gerald Harris and Dan Miller. The 2007 NAIA National Wrestling Champ now heads over to the XFC where he will look to add a fourth straight victory to his record.

Josh Samman has won six out of his last seven fights and those victories came via a mixture of both knockout and submission finishes showing how well rounded he is. The one loss within those seven fights was at Bellator 46 where Josh faced Dan Cramer and came out on the losing end of a decision. He bounced back from that loss in his most recent outing at XFC 16 where here defeated Mikey Gomez via submission in the first round.
