Starting in 2011, Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation (RUFF) launched and promoted China’s first professional government-sanctioned MMA events. Now RUFF is looking to take Chinese mixed martial arts to new heights in 2012 with a tournament to crown national champions for each weight division.

Beginning with RUFF 3 on March 24 in Chongqing, RUFF fighters will compete over the next 10 months to earn a spot in the “Super Fight”, tentatively scheduled to take place prior to the 2013 Chinese New Year (February 10, 2013). Winners of each weight class will be awarded the RUFF championship belt and RMB $1 million.

Also, in an effort to showcase an even greater number of Chinese MMA fighters, RUFF will begin promoting fights in the Flyweight Division (125 lbs/57 kg) starting with RUFF 4.

RUFF will continue to promote mixed martial arts in China on behalf of the Wushu Administrative Center, and in order to further raise the profile of Chinese MMA domestically and abroad, RUFF has signed a development deal with Los Angeles-based, Emmy-award winning Mandt Bros. Productions to take care of all television production.
