UFC 144 LIVE weigh-in results and photos

SAITAMA, Japan – The “UFC 144: Edgar vs. Henderson” fighter weigh-ins took place this evening at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The first fighter stepped on the scale at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT (1 p.m. Saturday local time).

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson got the loudest applause of the night, however, he was also the only fighter to not make weight, coming in at a whopping 211 pounds, a full five pounds over the light heavyweight non-title fight limit. As a result, 20 percent of his purse will go to his opponent Ryan Bader. Jackson said he had some trouble leading up to the fight but did not go into specifics.

Lightweight champion Frankie Edgar ran out to the scales, full of energy and looked to be in good shape and in good spirits, surely a by-product of not having to cut weight. Comparatively, his opponent, Ben Henderson looked more ripped and defined muscularly but was not nearly as energetic — for what it’s worth.

New UFC ring girl Azusa Nishigaki made her first appearance at the UFC 144 weigh-ins (see photo to the right). Apparently she’s worked as a ring girl with Sengoku. Here she is on Facebook. I believe she is just a guest ring girl at this point, but if she were to replace Chandella Powell permanently, do you approve?
