Marianna Kheyfets and Heather Clark started off their bout with fireworks, engaging in a battle of attrition through an action-packed first round.

Unfortunately for Clark, her right eye was swollen completely shut as she made her way back to her corner following the opening stanza, prompting a doctor stoppage after only five minutes of action.

Clark started the bout landing a couple of strong kicks as Kheyfets came forward. After clinching, Kheyfets went to work, connecting with knees up the middle. After resetting, Kheyfets started to establish her jab, but Clark scored with several counter-right hands in the exchanges. Kheyfets then started to score with leg kicks of her own, mixing up her combinations as the action started to pick up. Clark used front kicks to keep the distance as Kheyfets continued to stalk her around the cage. Kheyfets remained aggressive, stringing together several multiple-punch combinations that scored as the round wore on.

Clark managed to secure a late takedown and immediately started firing off elbows to the body of Kheyfets. As Clark continued to work, blood started to stream from her face as time wound down on the opening round.

As Clark stood to go to her corner, it was apparent that the blood was the least of her problems, as her right eye continued to swell. The replays failed to show where the damage was sustained, but it mattered little as she sat on the stool with the doctor checking the damage as the eye completely closed. It took only a few moments for the referee to wave off the fight due to doctor stoppage, resulting in the TKO victory going to Marianna Kheyfets.

The win keeps Kheyfets perfect at 5-0, with four of her wins under the XFC banner. With the loss, Clark drops to 4-2.
