ProMMAnow.com reporter and Fisttacuff Radio host Anton Skoro (left) talks with Ricky Legere following his Strikeforce debut victory.

ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) reporter Anton Skoro caught up with So-Cal welterweight Ricky Legere (14-4) following his Strikeforce debut victory over Chris Spang (4-1) at the “Rockhold vs. Jardine” event on Jan. 7 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Legere talked about dealing with a couple of Spang’s tight submission attempts during the bout and reveals whether or not he ever thought about tapping out to a particularly tight choke in round one. Legere also discussed what it is like training with guys like Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Mark Munoz and Lew Polley at Reign Training Center.

Legere mentioned a certain fighter he would love to get a rematch with, he also said he likes to stay busy and hopes to fight at least four times for Strikeforce in 2012. He feels the Strikeforce 170 pound division is wide open at the moment and hopes to work toward eventually earning a shot at the title.
