Las Vegas, NV, January 2, 2012: SCC today announced that agreements have been reached for a number of fights that have been added to the SCC4: Grove vs. Silva card. Previously announced is the main event with Kendall Grove (13-9) facing Jay Silva (7-4). This fight will be preceded by the five round SCC Lightweight Title Fight between John Gunderson (32-12-2) and Justin Buchholz (12-6).

A new addition to the main card is the SCC debut of TUF vet Jamie Yager (5-2), as he takes onVegas local, and Strikeforce vet, Danny Davis Jr (6-5). Yager has moved down to the Welterweight division and “Dee 1” will definitely be a tough challenge.

“We have two dynamic strikers that both look for the highlight reel KO in Danny “Dee1″ Davis and Jamie Yager. These two guys come out guns blazing! When the bell sounds to start this fight-don’t blink!” newly appointed SCC Matchmaker and Manager of Talent Relations Joey Varner said. Varner joined the organization in December. “In a short amount of time SCC has earned a reputation as a top notch promotion that delivers action packed fight cards from top to bottom.

This Feb 16 we look raise the bar again!” Also announced are the two Featherweight bouts; Jimmy Jones (3-0) vs. Joao Victor (2-0), and Shorty Weikel (9-2) vs. Brandon Bender (8-0). Jones has fought twice in SCC and will now take on Brazilian prospect, and also undefeated, Victor. Another fighter that will bring his undefeated record to the SCC Hexagon is Bellator vet Brandon Bender. Bender is up for a challenge though, as he face Marlin “Shorty” Weikel. “Shorty” is coming off a very impressing win at SCC 3 where he submitted Xtreme Couture fighter Kui Gonsalves in the second round.

SCC 4 takes place February 16th, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Tickets are priced at $35.00 (GA), $50.00, $75.00 and $125.00, and are available at the Orleans Box Office (888-234-2334), on www.orleansarena.com and on www.superiorcagecombat.com Official announcement of three more bouts is expected shortly.
