Happy New Year people!  2011 was full of accomplishments for me, 2012 will be even greater.  To start off, I have officially confirmed a fight for February 11th, in Everett, Wash., against Sally “Slick” Krumdiack (9-4) at 115 pounds.

Sally and I are the Main Event on the Fight Night Round XVIII “Clash at the College” at the Everett Community College Fitness Center.  I will train hard as I always do, going in there, fighting a smarter fight and look for the finish.

I always put on a fantastic show, Sally and I will definitely impress.  Tickets are available at www.FightNightEntertainment.com.  Don’t forget to go to their Facebook page and let them know how glad you are to have me out in Washington fighting; because I am so excited to meet you all!

If you cannot make it, don’t worry; you can still watch the whole card LIVE right here on ProMMAnow.com’s Live MMA Events page courtesy of GoFightLive!

My teammate Ryan Ferguson is also going to be fighting on this card with me.  His is taking on Jason Ellis for his 135 pound Fight Night Entertainment Amateur Title!!  Keep your eyes out, Ryan and I are training hard for our fights and cannot wait to showcase our skills!   We have a lot to bring to the cage in 2012.…

At the end of each year (this being the 3rd) the WMMA Press Association gather together to recognize the hard working women athletes of this male dominate sport.  I fought four times in 2011, winning all four, three by submission. This also being my first full year as a pro; my last fight, Oct. 1st for BlackEye Promotion 5 Breast Cancer Beatdown in Fletcher, N.C. (I also received Fight of the Night) was nominated for the 2011 WMMA Fight of the Year award.

On December 31st Wombat Sports announced the winners of the third and final group of winners. I won Fight of the Year!!  It’s a great honor to be nominated and I appreciate the recognition.  I work very hard, I’m determined, I love the sport and I’m always learning, but most of all, I want to be #1!

Despite my experience level, people tend to forget, I started MMA at 29-years-old.  I never boxed, wrestled or did any martial arts before starting MMA three years ago.  Oh, and I’m an only child…I have some “natural” abilities, which help me, but most of all, I put in the time, both quality and quantity.

I like to earn respect because of my skills and abilities.  That’s the kind of attention I’m out for.  Just in case anyone thought any different…

I’ve just been training all week, and eating whatever was left on my “bucket list” of food before Jan. 1st.  New Year’s eve was great, we went over to BK and Angi’s, hung out and B.S.’d for awhile; then headed over to Marilyn and Darrell’s, we met Kat, Jake and their kiddos.  A nice relaxing food filled night.  I ate the night away — ginger cookies, tortilla chips with a layered dip, fondue pots set up for venison, pheasant, lil’ smokies, and shrimp; then the other with cheese surrounded by bread and veggies.

None of us made it past 10 or 10:30 and we left.  Huh, another way I can tell I am getting older… Either way life is good and getting better.  I’m sure I will have some more exciting news in the near future, so FOLLOW ME to find out what it might be!!

I want to thank everyone for your continued support.  May 2012 bring more excitement and success to us all.  A big thanks to my coach/husband/partner, all of my family, friends, and fans.  Thanks to our students/my training partners for your hard work.  Fergie, our hard work will pay off!!

Thanks to Jack Bratcher, Denny Hodge and the whole crew at ProMMANow.com.  Thanks to my gym, 4th Ave. North Dojo, and Alernative Athletics. A huge thanks to my sponsors ~ Nutrabio.com ~ Damage Control Mouthguards ~ Super Body Care.

I am currently seeking new sponsors for my upcoming Main Event fight, Feb. 11th.  Please check me out, if you are interested, please contact me via my website PatriciaVidonic.com.  Thank you for taking time to read this.  Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!!
