Hey everyone!! Hope you all had a great x-mas! Yes, I said x-mas, that is much shorter and leaves it open, like “happy holidays”, but not. Sorry for not writing in two weeks, I will find some way to make it up to you!

I have been so busy; we had my step daughter out for a two week visit, Mark started basketball for school and it’s the holidays. Any way, we had a blast! Mark has to be at school early, practice starts at 6:45 a.m.

It’s nice, because it seems to add an hour or so onto my day since we hit the gym after dropping him off. We had Brooklyn, so it was a bit different than the “norm”, but fun either way!

She mimicked me lifting in the mornings and played with Mark in the evenings in the play area at the gym. All of our friends have little girls, so she made lots of friends while she was here.

I want to say thanks to everyone who helped out with making sure we were ready for Brookie’s visit and she had so much fun with everyone’s kiddos! We saw Santa at the Zoo with Ferg, his daughters and all of us.

We went to x-mas carnivals, and hung out. Brooklyn especially “loves her step brother”. She couldn’t stop saying how much she loves Marky. Tuesday the 20th was the day our little lady had to go back home.

I had the pleasure of enduring an entire day in airports and on planes to fly her back, then me back home the same day. Up at 3:40 a.m., boarding the plane at 6 a.m. in Billings and not landing back in Billings until after midnight.

When we got to the Medford airport I got to see my Grandma Selda and Grandpa Bud, they met me there, we had lunch, and exchanged gifts/cards. We took some pictures and talked, it was great to see them again!

They also brought Brooklyn an adorable white teddy bear for x-mas! Very tiring day; however, I was anticipating (and telling people about) the biggest snow storm to hit our area this season, and it was supposed to be starting when I flew in… Still no snow…

Since then, I’ve caught up on sleep, trained, went to an x-mas potluck at the gym and made numerous batches of different kinds of cookies. The most time consuming were the sugar and ginger people, because of the decorating.

I had my guys at the table until 11 p.m. on Friday night (like a cookie sweat shop) then they helped me finish them up by noonish Saturday. Then it was off to deliver homemade from scratch baked goodies to our friends.

We are broke, so I want to show them our gratitude for their friendship, and I can bake. Thank you Jason and Mark for all of your creative help.

Finally, x-mas morning rolled around, the boy opened his presents, he was happy and grateful. Lola opened a shared gift basket Kat and Jake got us. Last week when we got home from the gym there were bottles of body wash, lotion etc. all over the floor (unopened) and her dog treats that were in there were gone, and she ate half the package they were in too.

That’s the only thing that gets Lola in trouble, is her stomach! Lola lucked out, as always, Angi and BK gave her a pack of treats x-mas eve!

Later that day we went out to Marilyn and Darrell’s (Kat’s parents) house for a delicious prime rib dinner! Yummy and filling. Great way to finish off a holiday — good food and company!

It’s almost time for me to release some BIG news this week!! You all know what that means, so stay tuned!!
