The UFC recently announced two more welterweight fights for the upcoming UFC 143 card that will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 4th.

Matt Brown and Chris Cope will square off while Justin Edwards will take on Mike Stumpf according to the UFC website.

Matt Brown (12-11) is coming off a submission loss to Seth Baczynski back at UFC 139. It was his fourth loss in his last five fights with all of his losses coming via submission. Chris Cope (5-2) is coming off a TKO loss in devastating fashion to up and comer Che Mills back at UFC 138. That was Cope’s first loss in the UFC as he won his debut at the TUF 13 Finale against Chuck O’Neil. Both fighters are more than likely in need of a win badly if they wish to stay in the promotion.

Justin Edwards (7-2) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to John Maguire back at UFC 138. He is now (1-2) inside the octagon after splitting a win and a loss in prior bouts. Mike Stumpf (11-3) is coming off a loss in his UFC debut where he was submitted by TJ Waldburger back at Ultimate Fight Night 25.

UFC 143 will be headlined by a UFC welterweight interim title fight between Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz. Stay tuned to Pro MMA Now for future fight updates.
