The UFC announced a change to the upcoming UFC on FOX 2 card that will take place on January 28th, in Chicago. TUF 14 standout Johnny Bedford will replace Demetrious Johnson on the card and now take on former WEC bantamweight champion Eddie Wineland.

Wineland was originally scheduled to face Johnson, but Johnson will now be moving down to the newly created UFC flyweight division to face Ian McCall in a four man tournament to crown a champion for the new division.

Johnny Bedford (18-9) is coming off a dominant TKO victory win over Louis Gaudinot at the TUF 14 Finale that took place earlier this month. He has now won seven of his last eight fights dating back to 2009.

Eddie Wineland (18-8) is coming off back to back unanimous decision losses to Team Alpha Male members Urijah Faber and Joseph Benavidez.

The UFC on FOX 2 event will be headlined by a #1 contender’s matchup between former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans as he’ll be taking on undefeated Phil Davis. You can read more about the UFC on FOX 2 event right here.
