Fight-Night bonuses in the amount of $75,000 were awarded to Chan Sung Jung, Frank Mir, Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida at UFC 140.

“The Korean Zombie” claimed another victim, taking out top contender Mark Hominick in just seven seconds to earn his “Knockout of the Night” award. Hominick came out fast and reckless, missing with a looping left hook to start the bout. Jung expertly stepped back and countered, landing a crushing right hand that dropped Hominick to the mat. “The Korean Zombie” poured on a flurry of punches from the top to put the fight away, staying perfect in the UFC at 2-0.

Frank Mir won his rematch with Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in dramatic fashion, securing an arm-breaking kimura after nearly being finished by “Big Nog” on the feet early in the first round. Nogueira staggered Mir with a right hand, and then continued the onslaught with strikes before going for a guillotine choke on the ground. Mir somehow managed to survive, reverse, and then lock up the brutal submission, earning him “Submission of the Night” honors.

Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida were awarded “Fight of the Night” honors for their performances at UFC 140. Jones overcame some early adversity against Machida, before retaining his title by way of submission. After a first round that saw Machida land significant strikes against the champion, Jones came out in the second and opened a gash in the head of Machida with a vicious elbow before choking the challenger unconscious against the cage with a standing guillotine.
