Hall of Fame Induction of Kurt “Batman” Pellegrino and Seminar for Autism
 
ASBURY PARK, NJ (December 2, 2011) — Grapplers Quest will host the 2011 World Grappling Championships on Saturday, December 10 at Asbury Park Convention Center (located at 1300 Ocean Ave.) in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Three hundred World Championship titles in Submission Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo and Wrestling will be contested for cash and prizes valued at $15,000, including custom swords, medallions for champions and certificates.

Grappling is the fast-paced ground fighting art of Mixed Martial Arts, combining the throws of Olympic Judo, takedowns of Greco Roman and Freestyle Wrestling, Leg Locks from Sambo, and other Submissions from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu-like arm bars, shoulder locks and chokes. More than 200 competition teams and 1,000 competitors are expected to participate from 27 countries including United States, Brazil, Canada, Russia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Peru, Japan, Croatia, Holland, England, France, and Australia

The World Championships is an open tournament for all styles of ground fighters. Competitors of all ages and skill levels participate in this event that is open to all grappling styles in order to determine this year’s best grapplers in the world.

MMA fighter Kurt “Batman” Pellegrino will be conducting a free training session and seminar for pre-registered Grapplers Quest competitors on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 10:00 AM/ET to raise awareness for AutismRadio.org. The star-studded event will start with “Batman” being proudly inducted to the Grappling Hall of Fame.

Fighters may register to compete in advance online at http://bit.ly/v4Wqnw, or at Asbury Park Convention Center (located at 1300 Ocean Ave.), on Friday, December 9 between 5-8 PM/EST or Saturday, December 10, starting at 7:00 AM/ET. All competitors, ages, skill levels, teams and independents are welcome.

Spectator tickets are available to purchase in advance for only $12 ($8 off at-the-door) by going to http://bit.ly/uWKUpw, or the night of the event available at the door for $20 (adults), $10 (children), and free for children under six. Competition begins at 10:30 AM/ET.
