FOX Sports Media Group chairman David Hill, co-president and COO Eric Shanks and executive vice president and general manager of FUEL TV, George Greenberg, joined UFC president Dana White and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta on Wednesday for a media conference call.
The UFC and FOX executives took questions from the media to discuss the relationship between the two entities and the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s LIVE debut on FOX television this Saturday night, Nov. 12, featuring a heavyweight championship bout between reigning title-holder Cain Velasquez and no.1 contender Junior Dos Santos .
White and Hill and the other executives talked about what viewers can expect to see production-wise on Saturday and the decision to air only the main event. White discussed the importance of being involved with FOX’s multi-platform programming and explained the various UFC content that will be shown on FUEL TV, FX, FOX Sports and FOX Deportes, in addition to the four events per year that will air on “big” FOX.
