YUMA, Ariz. — Isaac Guzman, reporting for ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) and Fisttacuff Radio, caught up with Cuban Olympic wrestler turned MMA fighter Alexis Vila (11-0) following his controversial split decision win over Marcos Galvao (10-5-1) in the season five bantamweight tournament semifinals at Bellator 55.

Vila was happy with his performance and explained why he felt he deserved to win the decision. Galvao, on the other hand, thought he himself clearly won the fight and was robbed (see post-fight interview with Galvao) by the judges. But Vila does not see it.

From here the 40-year-old American Top Team fighter will go on to face Eduardo Dantas (12-2) in the bantamweight tournament finals. The first thing Vila said he plans to do is work on his conditioning and promised the fans will see a new Alexis Vila come fight time.
