Kim vs. Pierson on tap for UFC 141

Welterweights Dong Hyun Kim and Sean Pierson will clash at UFC 141 on Dec. 30 when the UFC holds their “Lesnar vs. Overeem” year-end event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC President Dana White confirmed the match-up on Monday,

“Two talented welterweights on the comeback trail will face off at UFC 141 when Sean Pierson takes on the ‘Stun Gun’ Dong Hyun Kim.”

Pierson (11-5) made his UFC debut this past December when he won a unanimous decision over Matt Riddle at UFC 124. However, in April he suffered a first round KO at the hands of top contender Jake Ellenberger at UFC 129.

After four previous wins and a draw inside the Octagon, Kim suffered the first loss of his pro career to Carlos Condit via first round KO at UFC 132 in July. Stay close to our Upcoming Events page as more fights are confirmed for UFC 141.
