Reporting for ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com), and from one Olympian to another, Dr. Rhadi Ferguson caught up with Imperial Athletics’ Coach, Mike Van Arsdale, at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fla., during Bellator 50 on Sept. 17, 2011.
Van Arsdale talked about his coaching philosophy and style, what sets his team apart and his mission to raise the standard of training in MMA to an Olympic level. Dr. Ferguson, as an Olympian himself, also weighs in on the subject.
Van Arsdale also talked about what bringing famed kickboxer Tyrone Spong into the Imperial Athletics camp has added to the team. Van Arsdale currently works with such talent as Rashad Evans, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, Jorge Santiago and Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante.
