During the lead up to the 2011 FILA World Championships, Nick Simmons stuck former world champion Radoslav Velikov with a spladle. After ProMMANow.com posted the video, it was promptly removed from YouTube by request from the USA Wrestling coaching staff. Now, we know why. At the World Championships, Simmons used the same maneuver to pin Macedonia’s Alexandru Chirtooca. Simmons did not medal, but his fifth place finish does qualify the 55kg weight class for the U.S. in the upcoming 2012 Olympics.
